About Robin Corey

My dream was to build on this piece of family property. It has been in my family for many years . I have such fond memories of coming here as a child with my sisters and then bringing my family here. The cousins all have come here together for many summers. We still come together every year and the memories continue to build. The many grand children still run on the beach and go to each others cottage for snacks and meals. I cherish the gifts that summer brings when I am here. I especially love the laughter of the children. I live in Bangor and I come to this island as often as I can. I am so grateful to have my dream come true. I would like to offer this gift to you. Come and enjoy!

Why Robin Corey chose Bar Harbor and Mount Desert Island

It is beautiful, quiet, peaceful and has a calming effect on the spirit. It is fun to play by the water and find things on the beach. The stars on the front deck are so bright they speak to the little kid in you.

What makes this cottage unique

The stars are spectacular at night. The deer sleep on the front lawn. The star fish and sand dollars are all over the beach!

Perfect House, Perfect Location, Perfect Vacation!

  • 5 of 5

There is nothing but nice things so say about this vacation home. The location is stunning, with The Ovens located in your back yard. You are ten minutes at the most to the entrance to Acadia and 10 minutes to Bar Harbor. The location of the home is so near to everything, but so private as well. When you turn off the road you enter a private community of a few homes that are spaced out to provide complete privacy for everyone. You can walk down to the beach in a few minutes and enjoy the sunrise/sunset and completely gorgeous landscape. The house itself is beautiful with comfortable beds and bedding, it was spotless on arrival, there is room for 8 people to vacation very nicely with a gorgeous deck on the back of the house for relaxing and having a nice grilled meal. The kitchen is about as well stocked as any vacation home I have stayed in and there is an ample supply of towels for everyone. The laundry facilities are wonderful as well. I intend to go back to this area for more outdoor activities and would book this house again for certain.

Beautiful home away from home!

  • 5 of 5

We are a family of five (kids ages 8,11,12) who just left this wonderful heaven on earth and we are here to say that there really is no reason to look any further than Robin's egg!! The home is beautiful, with the most comfortable beds and is immaculately clean. The private rocky beach that leads to the beautiful Frenchman's Bay is a scene out of a magazine. The kids spent hours hanging out on the beach, and our entire family canoed during sunset almost each night.

We were so comfortable in the house that we ate all breakfasts at home AND all dinners at home. The grill came in handy, and the picnic table on the deck allowed us to enjoy a lobster bake while enjoying magnificent views! It was so nice to come back from a day of hiking to relax in this home away from home.

The location is wonderful - literally 5 minutes from the entrance into Acadia National park, and 10 minutes from the town of Bat Harbor.

No need to look any further - book it before someone else does!!

Thanks Robin for everything ... This was a vacation we will never forget!!

The house was well appointed with a beautiful view of the cove.

  • 5 of 5

This house was perfectly located to get to Acadeia and downtown Bar Harbor, which we did daily. The house is very clean and nicely decorated. We loved eating dinner on the back deck and looking out at the water. We started many of our days picking shells and skimming rocks on the small beach just steps from the house. It was the perfect vacation spot.

An Unforgettable Stay in Beautiful Bar Harbor

  • 4 of 5

Our family of three adults and four teens traveled to Bar Harbor for the July 4th weekend. Prior to our arrival, the owner of the home we rented (Robin), communicated with us and answered all of our questions. We arrived mid-afternoon, met Robin and some members of her family who own nearby homes. They were extremely friendly and helpful. The house was beautiful, well equipped, and well cared for. The location could not be beat as it was literally a 60 second walk down to a private beach on Frenchman's Bay. The kids immediately migrated to the shore and spent the rest of the afternoon exploring. We quickly settled in. The drive to downtown Bar Harbor was about 10 minutes. We spent the week hiking in Acadia, biking the Carriage trails, exploring the seashore, and enjoying the house. We slept 7 comfortably among the four bedrooms and the two full bathrooms were more than enough. The huge, open kitchen was a focal point for us and we took full advantage, cooking dinner there and using the gas grill every night. Robin provided plenty of basic supplies. Overall, this is a can't miss location and place to stay. We will definitely rent it again for our next Bar Harbor adventure.

Perfect Bar Harbor/Acadia Family Week

  • 5 of 5

We are a Florida family of 4, two children ages 6 and 8. While we had the space to sleep more people (and the house can certainly accommodate a few more people) this house was the perfect experience for our family. We spent our first week of vacation in Bar Harbor. We ate dinner mainly at the house during the evenings (as the children were tired from day camp in Acadia and we were tired from all of the wonderful hiking and biking during the day). The kitchen was well equipped (we even had a few other visiting Florida families join us for an evening and were lacking nothing) and the house was beautiful and comfortable. The rocky, but not sandy, beach area was a novelty to us, and hunting for sea glass and different sorts of rocks were great childhood moments for our girls. Sunsets and colorful sky's were gorgeous. The only reason not to rent this home is if you prefer a location that is directly in the downtown of Bar Harbor, which we loved visiting during the day for lunch, shopping and occasional dinners, but we also appreciated the quiet tranquility of staying just 10 minutes away. We would not hesitate to rent this home again:)

Perfect location for an Acadia vacation

  • 5 of 5

Robin's house on the water was perfect! It's located on Mount Desert Island just north of Bar Harbor. The neighborhood is serenely quiet but is located near an excellent lobster pound for dinner and ice cream parlor for dessert. It's also a very short trip into Bar Harbor but just far enough to avoid the crowds.

Our family spent every day hiking or swimming in Acadia which was nearby.

Robin was helpful and met us as we arrived rather late because she wanted to make sure that the house was lit up for our arrival.

The house is gorgeously decorated. Linens and towels were ample and clean. The kitchen looks brand new and has state of the art appliances including an induction stove top range.

I would definitely recommend this house for families. There is also an unfinished basement that our teens enjoyed congregating in to get away from the parents. 😊

We truly enjoyed walking the rocky beach at the base of this property each night.

I already miss it!
