Our family is active in sports including Skiing, Snow boarding, mountain biking, softball, soccer etc. My wife and I grew up coming to Mammoth on vacation from Orange County and introduced our children to the Mammoth lifestyle several years ago. We enjoy summers and winters in Mammoth and are up here several times per year.
Nina Cintron purchased this condo in 2011
We have traditionally stayed near The Village because we like the activities and started looking for a place nearby that had more space and didn't feel like a small hotel room. We stayed at Crestview last summer and fell in love with the location and amenities. Some of our prime criteria when looking for a place to buy were; Underground parking, Jacuzzi, rec room, walk to Village and it had to be on the shuttle line so we would never have to move our car during our stay. Crestview had all of these plus a great overall environment that makes us feel at home. We hope that you will feel at home here too!
We love the 180 degree balcony view of the surrounding mountains as well as the convenience of a full-size washer and dryer right inside our unit.
"This is how good of a time we're having....haven't checked my e-mail in 2 days!! What a great place you have! Very spacious. Great location"
Very clean and well maintained - great communication with owner
Very centrally located for Mammoth Lakes and surrounding attractions.
Things we did nearby in three days (summer)
1. Mammoth Lakes loop
2. Hot Creek - very worthwhile
3. Convict Lake - nice hike around (just do the first part - not entire)
4. Yosemite / Tuolumne meadows (note if you don't like driving along cliffs don't go)
5. Mono Lake South Tufas
6. Punam Crater
7. Devils Postpile (do the rainbow falls hike from stop #9 as opposed to Devils postpile saves 1.5 miles) Minaret Falls was also nice
8. June Lakes Loop - the two nicest are Gull and Silver. June is nothing special
Excellent place, fun time, very complete house as the pictures. Very friendly owners, very grateful. Delighted would repeat next year. Thanks
My family and I thought the place was perfect for us; just like home. It's not so nice that you feel it can't be used, but it was clean, well-kept, comfortable, well equipped with everything we needed, weather-free parking in the garage, and in a great location - a short walk to the Village, right on the free bus line, and pretty darn close to Canyon Lodge. Nina was very responsive as well. Thus, I have no complaints! So, thank you to the Cintron's for letting us stay in your place. We'll be back!
We loved our stay here at Crestview! Nina was a phenomenal host - extremely responsive and accommodating. She was in communication with me daily to ensure we knew how to get into the unit before we arrived and then that everything was ok throughout our stay. I really appreciated her attentiveness and thoughtfulness as it's a rarity in some of these rentals.
The unit itself could not have been more perfect for our group. We had a group of 5 guys and even though this is listed at a 1 bedroom we easily had room for 2 more. It had 3 full bathrooms so there was never a wait for someone to hop in the shower. As far as location, the unit is conveniently located within a short walk of the base (we did this in ski boots a few times so it's not too far) or you can take a shuttle which comes once every 15 minutes to the Village, Canyon, or Eagle.
Overall it was a great experience for us and we highly recommend the host and the rental. Will certainly stay here again in the future!
What motivated me to write this review was not only the condo itself but the interaction that we had with the property owners. They were great. They take pride in their unit and care about the comfort of the people staying there. One of our space heaters had a short. I sent a text and the owners were completely apologetic and had a replacement sent over immediately . I was having trouble finding Netflix on the TV and they made themselves available and walked me through it. Condo was exactly how it was described - no false advertising. Not fancy but clean and comfortable and great use of space. Lots of beds. Wi-Fi & Netflix worked with no problems. It was so convenient having the washer/dryer in the unit. The beds were comfortable. Master bedroom had a memory foam top which was very nice. Three bathrooms in a 1+ loft was great. No fighting over the bathroom. Only drawback we learned was that you can't take a shower in the loft bathroom at the same time you're taking one downstairs - freeze! Not a big deal though. On Saturday the owners text me to make sure that everything was good and to see if we needed anything. They also told us that nobody was checking in the next day and we were welcome to check out late if we wanted to get a half day in on the mountain. Little things make all the difference. We would stay again.
Crestview is a very convenient location for staying in Mammoth. You can walk to the village and take the gondola up every morning. We left our skis and boots overnight for easier convenience.
This was a great little condo for 2 of us. It would be perfect for a few more people. The kitchen was well equipped and we were able to make dinner every night. We would definitely rent again for a ski trip.
