Perfect for small families, girls’ weekends, or a couple’s getaway, this seaside retreat, located at the Ocean Inn on Isle of Palms, is privately owned and maintained. It is nicely appointed with all you might need for a relaxing stay at the beach that won’t break the bank. Don't think of it as a condo at the beach - think of it as our 'guest room', fixed up for you with all that you need for a great get-away.

What's inside:

This large studio condo sleeps 4 with 1 King-sized bed (Black Label Simmons Beautyrest) and one full-sized convertible bed (futon), both in the large sleeping area.

There is one full bathroom with tub/shower. We provide a couple rolls of toilet paper, a couple bars of soap, bath towels, washcloths, bath mat. (There is a bottle of shampoo under the sink just in case.) We do not provide beach towels but they can be purchased inexpensively at Target, Wal Mart, or the shops on the beach.

The dining table seats 2 or 4. There are extra chairs in the closet. The wall-mounted flat screen TV can be seen from the bed room and the dining area.

A kitchen renovation included adding a convection-microwave for quick microwaving that can also be used for REAL OVEN BAKING for pizza, cookies, casseroles, etc. There is a drip-style coffee maker, NuWave induction cook-top with essential pots and pans to use with it, toaster, dishwasher (a big plus!!) and refrigerator with freezer. There is a full complement of dishes, drink ware, silverware, pots, pans, utensils. There are utensils for the grill as well.

You are welcome to use the beach chairs that live in the closet.

What's outside:

'Not quite off the beaten path”, this first floor condo is located within a small complex of 20 condos (Ocean Inn) that features a private pool, free parking (a commodity on the island!), and coined laundry facilities which happen to be conveniently located a few doors down from our condo. Just 20 steps away is an outdoor seating area with a grill and picnic table where it is common for guests to congregate for happy hour and burgers on the grill. This is a great spot in the complex where neighbors become friends, often returning year after year. The pool is on the other side of the building so when there is pool noise, you won’t hear it. (An added bonus!!) When you open your front door, you might hear music coming from the beach front area, but you won’t appreciate being a half block away until you go around the corner and the music gets louder! Staying ocean front isn’t always what it’s cracked up to be – there is a reason why there is a city-wide 10pm noise ordinance. It will be nice and quiet here.

Best of all:

The furriest member of the family doesn’t have to miss out on all the fun! (Dogs only.) A pet fee is required for your pooch to stay and is added on as an extra guest fee. The fee is $20 PER DAY, or $95 per week and WILL BE ADJUSTED AT THE TIME OF YOUR BOOKING. The floor is tiled. There is a new vet clinic right down the street plus an emergency clinic and pet stores in Mt Pleasant for all your pup's needs.

If you are not traveling with Rover, have no fear - our place is well-maintained and will not have any tell-tale signs of animals ever curling up to sleep here.

We are a small family of 4 and live right across the bridge in Mt Pleasant. We wanted to have a place for our out of town family to stay and offer it for others to enjoy when it is available.

We love this complex in particular because, although there are several rental units, many families live here full time. It is well maintained by our management company as well as the year-round residents who all take great pride in the property. Each unit is individually owned and we manage our own so we can offer a personal touch to your accommodations. We really do treat our place as our guest suite - and we will treat you as our guest as well. We want you to feel welcome and comfortable.

The Isle of Palms is a wonderful beach destination that is unlike any other. There is an interesting mix of building styles that date back to way before Hurricane Hugo came through and devastated the island in 1989. We like the mix of old and new, and we LOVE that it is not as commercial as it is on other parts of the coast. The food on the island is some of the best in Charleston so while you might want to venture into the City for sightseeing and shopping, you can find a great meal right here on the island every night of your stay, many within walking distance.

What makes this condo unique

You don't have to drive anywhere - you can hang up your keys when you arrive and never move your car until it's time to go home. You will find great food everywhere around you - pizza, seafood, burgers, gourmet, bar food, you name it. The best breakfast spots on the island (where the locals eat) are just a 3-minute walk. It's almost like being at a B&B except that you probably won't go to breakfast in your robe.....not that you couldn't, mind you....some go in their beach cover up, so hey....why not??

There are beach chairs for you to take to the beach as well as a beach bag and cooler bag. There is also a cart to load them onto to make transporting easier. The cart turns into a table once you find your spot!

Perfect for Two

Just returned from a four-night stay at this lovely studio in Isle of Palms. Everything was absolutely perfect. Beth went the extra mile to recognize our anniversary and that was truly appreciated! The condo unit itself is very clean and comfortable. All the essentials are there for your use. If I could recommend anything, the addition of a kettle and teapot would be an asset. The king bed is quite comfortable and the decor is absolutely perfect! Close walking distance to the beach and local restaurants. As Canadians, and RCL members, we were warmly welcomed to the VFW, the post on the coast, and enjoyed our time chatting with locals and other tourists. We are already talking about returning to IOP and this condo. Thanks for everything Beth!

Perfect for a single traveler

This property has great amenities, and is within walking distance of several restaurants and shops. I can personally recommend Cafe Paname and Acme Lowcountry Kitchen. Beth was amazing and quick to respond when I had a question or concern. Which was especially important since my stay corresponded with a winter storm. I highly recommend this rental.

Perfect Location/Clean/Beautiful!

My husband and I stay in this unit when it is available because it is beautifully updated, clean and has everything you need AND more! We enjoy our stay here every time! The condo offers two grills which we

utilize at least one night during our stay and it is so convenient to walk to

restaurants, bars, beach and shopping. We also enjoy the pool even in the fall months, as the landscape shields any wind so we leave with a tan. This unit offers a comfortable bed and sitting area for watching tv,

playing cards, etc. It has an awesome kitchen equipped with all of our needs. The creative design in which the owner has dressed the unit will

have you wanting to visit again! We love Beth and this unit!

Relaxing Getaway

Love the location. Quiet, but only one block to beach shops and ocean. Great little coffee shop literally outside the back door. Property is clean and cozy with everything you need for a relaxing getaway weekend!

Owner's Response: You are the first to mention the amazing little coffee shop, Cafe Paname, located just steps away in the next building. New this summer, the cafe is open early for coffee and a breakfast croissant, stays open through lunch, and now stays open later in the day, serving "adult" beverages. It's so close and comfortable that I keep waiting to see our guests mosey over in their robes for morning coffee! We are glad you found it. Check-in is 4pm. Check-out is 10am. These times are not usually flexible due to cleaning company requirements.

PET FEES are $20 PER DAY or $95/WEEK. This must be calculated into fees at the time of the reservation.

Your reservation is confirmed when the deposit is paid. Balance is due 30 days before arrival. You will receive and email prior to your arrival with essential check-in information, key code, and parking pass. All items available for your use - soaps, linens, towels, paper products - will be in your condo upon arrival. Fresh linens are NOT supplied during your stay. If linens or towels need refreshing, there is an on-sight laundry for guests to use and cost $1.50 in quarters per load, washer or dryer. Laundry soap for a couple loads is usually provided by us as part of the arrival set-up.

Manager's Cancellation Policy

  • 50% refund if canceled at least 14 days before arrival date.
  • 100% refund if canceled at least 30 days before arrival date.
  • Service Fee fully refunded on cancellations that qualify for 100% refund.
