House, 3 Bedrooms + Other (See Description), 1 Bath, (Sleeps 10)
Up north cottage with spectacular views located right on 2000 acre Duck Lake. Cottage is in Interlochen, just 12-15 miles from Traverse City and in walking distance to Interlochen Center for the Arts and the Interlochen State Park.
The house sleeps up to 10 people and has two bedrooms downstairs (one with a king bed and the other with a queen bed) plus an upstairs bedroom with two full beds, a twin, plus an extra rollaway twin. There's also a fold out pack-and-play in the closet if you need it for an infant, and a couch for one more!
Lower level has a full wall of windows overlooking the lake and is decorated with log furniture, new flooring, has a full kitchen, and laundry room with washer and dryer. There's also a large 650 square foot deck on the lake side with chairs, tables, charcoal grill, and an outdoor fireplace for evening campfires.
The swimming area is very nice, too. Hard sandy lake bottom runs the full length of our 100+ foot dock and there is a ladder on the dock for easy entry/exit. We also have additional cleats on the dock if you plan on bringing a boat.
This cottage has everything you need for a nice relaxing stay and is close enough to enjoy all that the Traverse City area has to offer. Very close to the Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes, wineries, casinos, Cherry Bowl drive-in theatre, Crystal Mountain, shopping, and more.

The deck was amazing,we lived out there
The location was beautiful. We enjoyed ourselves immensely. There were a few minor issues. The screen on the one slider was off the track and we were afraid to put it back on in case it broke. The toilet handle would stick and the water would run. The kitchen wasn't very clean when we got there. Overall it was a great place and we enjoyed ourselves.
Beautiful lake view near Interlochen Center for the Arts
One of our children was spending a week at Interlochen Center for the Arts, and we wanted to stay nearby and enjoy a vacation in the area. We needed a place that could accommodate our larger family, and this cottage was perfect! It was clean, comfortable, and close to Interlochen, Traverse City, and all the places we wanted to visit. Our kids loved swimming off the dock and playing basketball in the water (and we loved the fact they could enjoy the water without all the sand!). The owners were very professional and a pleasure to work with. We would definitely stay there again if we are in the area.
Huge Lake and Great Location
The lake is nearly 2000 acres and had no other boating traffic (Even on the Weekend!). We enjoyed the walk out shoreline and having the state park close by we were able to use the sandy beach with our small children. The cottage was in close proximity to the sand dunes and downtown Travers City which was nice to go to for shopping and fine dinning.
Great Place to stay in Interlochen
When we arrived the house was very clean! The beds were wonderful. We Loved the Log furniture, which is great in northern michigan. The owners were great and very professional. I would recommend this place.
