About Katy Meinbresse

Leif is a Montana native and Katy moved here from Tennessee 5 years ago when Leif refused to leave Big Sky Country.

Katy Meinbresse purchased this house in 2008

Why Katy Meinbresse chose Montana

Leif first fell in love with Seeley 10 years ago while working for the Forest Service. He bought an acre as soon as he could and soon we were building a house!

What makes this house unique

Great cabin, very nice furnature, more than we expected!

  • 5 of 5

We were in Seeley Lake from Helena for the pond hockey tournament. We were expecting that the four of us would be a little cramped in the cabin but were OK with that for the price. What we found was a spacious cabin with great amenities and plenty of room for four big guys and all our junk. The cabin was quaint and comfortable- and the price was still great.

As a side- the furniture was just fine, one of us slept on the couch even and was very comfortable. Maybe the only piece missing was a "no whiners aloud" sign.

All in all- we'll be back for the tournament next year and I'm already looking at another booking for mountain biking season.

We greatly enjoyed this house - it was homely, well equipped, and we settled in very quickly. We loved the peaceful location with the forest as part of the back garden.

Rustic mountain cabin

  • 4 of 5

This was a fun little rustic mountain cabin. Quiet nights and cool mountain air were wonderful. This property borders state land so you could hike, snowshoe, or ski from the property. Close access to town was great. The fire pit out back was wonderful too. Didn't get to use it because of fire restrictions but loved that it was there.

A Great Find!

  • 5 of 5

We came to Montana to visit some friends in Missoula and decided to meet up with them for a quick getaway weekend at Seeley Lake before landing in Missoula. This place was perfect! This house is very homey with clean, open and inviting spaces. Bedrooms were huge and easily slept all the adults and kids that we're with us. Kitchen was well stocked and we were able to cook all of our meals with the dishes and tools provided. We particularly loved the way this house backed up to the national forest land. The kids had a blast exploring and adventuring, while the adults "supervised" with cold beverage on the large back porch. We were very happy with this house and would return for another stay! High recommended!
