Heated, underground parking. Ground-floor unit has mountain views from living room and patio. Easy access to Banff (20 minutes), ski hills and the Canmore Nordic Centre.

My wife and myself currently live in Cochrane, Alberta and work in Calgary. We lived in Canmore for 8 years and we love the Canmore area. We love skiing, hiking and biking with our family.
The Owner purchased this condo in 2008
We chose this location for the short drive from Calgary, and the ease of access to the Canmore Nordic Centre, the ski hills and popular hiking locations.
We stayed here for a week in August. The condo and property were absolutely amazing. The beds are comfortable, bathroom and kitchen were spotless. Walking around the hamlet of Dead Man's Flats is a beautiful way to spend the evening.
Be sure to bring toilet paper, paper towel and such things... These are not supplied by the owner and cost a fortune at the gas station across the street.
Unit was as advertised. Very comfortable condo. Heated parking was great in cold weather. Hot tub was great when weather was good. Great location for getting to Banff, Norquay, Sunshine and Lake Louise.
The condo is in Deadman's Flats which is remote from Canmore with very few amenities near the condo. Cell phone service was sketchy; WI-FI was slow, especially on weekends so Netflix did not work.
Couples and families with young children we met seemed to love the facility. Might not work with teenagers.
Very convenient location close to Banff. Condo was clean with good amenities, nicely decorated. Kitchen was very nice but we didn't use it as much as we had thought we would. Groceries were so expensive there that we opted to eat out more. A few minor issues that arose were at night we could hear the people in the condo above us walking around loudly till very late at night, this did make it difficult to get to sleep. The fireplace wasn't working (we wouldn't have used it anyways so this wasn't a big deal). The maid also forgot to leave us the key to the back door which would have been convenient to use and the code to the underground garage did not work. None of these things kept us from having a very enjoyable time but were somewhat irritating. Any contact we had with Shane was very pleasant, he was very accommodating we were grateful to be able to stay at his condo.
An excellent location for all the incredible sights in the area.
The condo is ideal as a base and our family of 4 would wholeheartedly recommend it.
The price was unbeatable! We liked being here as opposed to being in Canmore because it was quiet and uncrowded. The condo was comfortable, attractive, clean, and had everything we needed. A few things to know: The community hot tub is right out the door from this condo, which is convenient, but also noisy. Fortunately, the complex must enforce the 11 p.m. quiet time because the Friday night party in the hot tub did stop then. Also, there is WiFi, but it often does not work well and is very slow.
Highlights: Fantastic price. Nice condo. Good location. Owner a pleasure to deal with. Quiet.
Downsides: BBQ is sub-par, and we couldn't light the nice big BBQ in the common area (property staff weren't all too helpful with this issue). No DVD player. The kitchenware wasn't very clean.
We very much enjoyed our stay and, at $600/week, would likely do it again. It seems the price has bumped up a bit, but it is likely still a very good value.
