I am Midwestern born (Minnesota), Mother of two, and happy to live in a such a great neighborhood! Queen Anne has been such an amazing place to live for almost 20 years. We hope you enjoy it as much as our family does!
Jill Dickinson purchased this house in 2002
We bought this home in Queen Anne because it was a top of the hill, charming oasis right in the middle a dynamic, family-friendly neighborhood in Seattle.
Our house location is outstanding! Only three blocks away you'll see Kerry Park with the amazing panoramic view of the Seattle Skyline, Puget Sound, Mount Rainier and Islands! One block away is an organic coffee house Cafe Fiore with freshly-baked pastries, Top-Pot donuts, Molly Moon Ice Cream, and our favorite restaurant - Via Tribulani! Three blocks away is a wonderful park and field for kids, Big Howe, as well as the Queen Anne indoor pool and every Thursday from 3-7 from spring through fall is the Queen Anne Farmer's Market! Don't miss it!
Another unique bonus about our house is the benefit for families when they travel with young kids is the toy room in the basement! It Is loaded with toys, books, puzzles, and Legos for kids to play with while relax in a family home!
We were in Seattle for a wedding and Jill's house in Queen Anne was an awesome home base for our family. It is a short walk to two great parks (both with playgrounds for the kids), ice cream, restaurants and Trader Joe's. And as this is Jill's family's primary residence, there is lots of things that you wouldn't normally find in a rental - tons of toys (Lego galore!), travel crib, and a toddler chair were all available to us. Would definitely stay here again - thank you Jill for your hospitality!!
Besides the excellent location in the Queen Anne Hill neighborhood (within walking distance of everything), this rental was perfect for our extended family. Our children had plenty of toys to play with, and all the rooms were comfortable.
For the value, this was an excellent choice that we would gladly stay in again!
This house was exactly what we hoped for during our visit to Seattle this summer. It's a nice and comfortable place - clean, well cared for, and plenty of space. The location is great with lots within walking distance (top pot!). We had four adults and two little kids and there was plenty of space for everyone. The kids especially loved the basement rec/play area stocked with toys (they would have been happy just staying down there during our entire trip). The adults especially loved sitting on the front porch in the morning.
This was a great house for our family of four (two young children). Close to the shops in Queen Anne, playground nearby, and ample space for kids to play inside. The house was as described, the host was communicative and helpful, and the location was great. Convenient to downtown, but with a more neighborhood feel.
We had a such a nice stay at this house. The house was lovely and absolutely perfect for a family. The owners have older children but they've kept a bunch of toys for all ages down in the basement playroom. It was a lifesaver for us. The neighborhood is adorable with a couple really good, cute coffeeshops nearby. We met the owner on our way out and she was lovely. We'll definitely be back.
Loved staying in this neighborhood. My family was very comfortable and safe. The convenience to sights is good. Distance to shops, restaurants, bars is minutes walking. Would recommend for more rustic quiet setting rather than the busy downtown area.
