Overview

About the property

Central Air, 3 Bedroom, 1.5 Baths, And An Ocean Bay 6 Houses Away,

Immaculate, 3 bedroom ranch, recently renovated with central air conditioning, 1.5 miles from Bristol Beach, with Menauhant and Falmouth Heights beaches almost as close.

Located on a quiet residential dead end street with an Ocean Bay aka Great Pond, saltwater, only 6 houses away. Walk to the end of the street and enjoy the quiet solitude that Great Pond has to offer, or bring the 2 Kayaks that are provided with you and glide along the pond without a care in the world. Of course you will be wearing the life vests that are provided as well. Lovingly cared for and nicely appointed, the house was renovated in 2013. Wood floors throughout with the exception of kitchen and bathroom. In addition to the kitchen and bath renovation all new linens, towels, and beds were purchased. There isn't anything that will leave you wanting.

There is a half bath in the master bedroom and an enclosed outside shower (hot and cold water) to take advantage of when the weather just begs you to stay outside. Falmouth Heights beach is only a little over a mile away and you could literally walk to shopping, the movie theater, and bowling. If you are feeling adventurous, take one of the 5 bicycles that are waiting for you in the shed and either explore the neighborhood or try the 3.3 mile Shining Sea Bikeway that takes follows the original route of the New York, New haven and Hartford Railroad that used to run from Buzzards Bay through North and West Falmouth, around Woods Hole and into Falmouth Station.

You could also try honing your ping pong or shuffleboard skills on the tables in the basement or go outside and try to score a ringer at the horse shoe pit.

This is truly an amazing location and surely not too disappoint.

About Elizabeth Campbell

I was lucky enough to have parents that looked to the future and bought this home in 1972. I have been the owner since early 2013 and put my heart and soul into making this a home not only one that I could enjoy but also for those that chose to spend time here for their summer vacation. This is where, when I am lucky enough to retire, I will be spending my time.

Elizabeth Campbell purchased this house in 1972

Why Elizabeth Campbell chose Teaticket

I have an emotional attachment and think that with the renovations and appointments I have made to the home as well as the location, makes it a very desirable property.

What makes this house unique

The home is so close to everything you could possibly imagine yet it is on a residential dead end street that lends itself to being somewhat of a private oasis. You have easy access to Route 28 and you are not so far on the Cape that the traffic becomes a nuisance.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Thank you for sharing your home with us. We enjoyed the quiet street and walks to the beach. We love Falmouth.

Relaxing and Convenient - Great Cape Escape

  • 4 of 5

First of all, if the system would allow, I'd rate this rental a 4 3/4 stars! The home is immaculate and in a wonderful, quiet location allowing for true relaxation. The owner of the property has created a wonderfully decorated and amply stocked home leaving the renter wanting nothing. Linens, kitchen utensils, games, bikes and kayaks available for your use are the types of details she takes care of. I found the home to be very much like the amenities and pictures described in the ad - no surprises!

The close proximity to Great Pond is a huge bonus for those who want to get out on the water, or sit in the sand with a good book. Additionally, there is an pond side path that leads to the ocean which makes for a serene early morning walk or run. My active family was able to enjoy all-things outdoors - paddleboarding, biking and sunbathing!

The town of Falmouth is a wonderful location - shops, restaurants and just the right amount of bustling activity.

Lastly, the owner was extremely helpful as I planned our vacation - right down to the day we arrived. One of the cleanest and most well-maintained properties I have rented. I would definitely rent this property again and have already recommended it to my friends.

Sweet retreat!

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay! We went with several teens and everyone enjoyed it. The street ends at the bay, it's just a quick walk to the water with beautiful places to walk or kayak. Beth's house was well equipped and we enjoyed cooking in or eating out. The proximity to shops and restaurants was a plus, also close to local beaches. We look forward to staying there again!

What a lovely home!!

  • 5 of 5

The property was everything we could have asked for, and then some more!! It is very well appointed as you would expect including the outside deck and then there is the basement with the ping pong table and shuffleboard and all the equipment you could think of for a trip to the beach. The temperatures were high in the week (80F+) but the air conditioning kept us cool. The laundry facilities were great too.

Loads of good shops within a few minutes driving and lots of good eateries. Our favourite was Oak & Ember near Mashpee. We mixed our week between beach/ relax and touring Cape Cod and we would definitely come back. Many thanks for letting us into your lovely home.

Our first time on Cape Cod....

  • 5 of 5

We recently spent a week touring Cape Code and made Falmouth our home base. Elizabeth's little cottage was perfect for our family of four (two adults and two teenage boys). The cottage was so thoughtfully stocked with many amenities not found in vacation rentals and the boys loved spending down time playing pingpong in the basement. The owner even provided kayaks and bikes! Private, clean, affordable..we highly recommend a stay here.

This is a great location for walking, biking and running. A few streets away you can get access to Great Bay Road a gravel road that runs along Great Pond to the Ocean. What a great way to start the day.
