About the property

Antique Collector's Home in Historic 6a Village

For the discriminating seasonal visitor, we offer our 'expanded' Cape style home in the historically zoned route 6A section of Yarmouthport. It is situated on a dead end gravel lane with only 3 other homes. Furnished with country antiques, this property offers a quiet retreat setting, but it is within easy walking distance to 3 restaurants, Dennis Pond (beach area with lifeguard on duty) and the Yarmouthport landing (on ocean).

First floor includes master bedroom suite (master bath, den and bedroom), great room (relaxing area with fireplace) and working kitchen with picture windows and skylight; dining room and adjoining living room. Each upstairs bedroom includes a private sitting area.

The caretaker lives in a separate building on the property.

Our home has been a 'home away from home' to many happy repeat summer renters since hope you will be pleased enough to plan your annual vacation on Minden Lane.

Very nice and comfortable house in Yarmouth Port

  • 5 of 5

A great place from which to explore the Cape. The house is a couple blocks off of 6A (had a little difficultly spotting Minden Lane when we arrived in the evening as it is a gravel road set back from 6A between two retail buildings) in the heart of town but is very quiet and peaceful. Great beaches are 10 - 12 minutes away in Dennis on the bay side and on the ocean side in Denis Port and Yarmouth, and there are dining options within walking distance or a short drive (highly recommend Jack's Outback II behind the property for breakfast or lunch). There is a also a wonderful pond within walking distance with a beach area and would be suitable for kayaking.

The house has three spacious bedrooms, the first floor master suite with full bath and office (additional 1/2 bath on the first floor) and two bedrooms on the second floor with a full hall bathroom, all with window air conditioners. Plenty of space in the kitchen/family area and a large dining are. Furnishings are wonderful though there is no couch large enough for an adult to sleep on, though a child could. All the necessities for cooking are provided, a washer and dryer and lots of great books around the house if you're a reader. The staircase to the 2nd floor is a bit steep and senior citizens may have a difficult time negotiating it. We spent a lot of time relaxing in the large, nicely landscaped yard with a patio, two grilles and outdoor shower. There is a barn with some furnishings that can be used but the windows are difficult to open and it's a bit musty, so we did not utilize it. We had five adults and three small children in our party and we were very comfortable, though we used a queen size air mattress for the kids to sleep on in an upstairs bedroom, which had plenty of room for it and two single beds.

I highly recommend this house for anyone looking to stay in the Yarmouth Port/Dennis area. The owners were wonderful with us and highly accommodating. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

A Must Stay Home!

  • 5 of 5

Can't say enough of this wonderful home and it's owners (Don & Noel Gray). We were welcome from the time we sent our deposit on line, to the time we left. Tucked away on a beautiful dead-end street (off Rt. 6A) Great backyard and grounds (our young black lab loved to roam around). The inside was absolutely beautiful! Even discovered a great little breakfast spot (Jacks Outback II) which of course is known only to the "townies". Took the back trail from the home to a place you will never forget (The Gary's even gave us a gift certificate to eat there)! The location was perfect. Close to Rt. 6 and of course right off historic Rt. 6A. Again, "A Must Stay Home". Enjoy, we did!

Loved our stay on Minden Lane

  • 5 of 5

Our one week stay at the Cape was made even better by the wonderful accomadations on Minder Lane. Although close to Rte 6A the home is far enough off it that you hear virtually no traffic sounds only peace and quite.

The house itself is beautifully decorated with spacious rooms. All the bedrooms are very large with sitting areas. It has a workable kitchen for any cooking you may want to do. A nice screened porch area and outdoor patios with 2 gas grills.

The Dennis pond is a 10 minute walk and is perfect for kids. Mayflower Beach, one of the best beaches on the Cape is a 15 minute ride up Rte 6a.

The central location makes any destination close by. Hyannis is a short 10-15 minute drive Sandwich 20 minutes and Orleans/Provincetown maybe an hour or so

Everything was as advertised. Loved everything about it.
