Kick your feet up on our chaise sofa and gaze at the view of Twin Peaks and Sutro Tower. Single family Victorian with modern floor plan and kitchen/ dining room leading to a deck and spacious backyard. Ideally set up for families with kids games, books, a kid's bedroom, even a teepee!
Or come and enjoy our clean, bright, and modern home without any youngsters!
You'll have access to the house and garden.
The garage will typically be locked - let us know if you need access for some reason. Parking is easy - usually the driveway is not available for guest use, but let us know if you would prefer to have it during your stay.
You probably won't see us when you stay here - we'll typically be gone by the time you arrive, and we won't come home until after you depart.
Family friendly neighborhood but close enough to all the action of the Castro and Mission District. A terrific park for little kids is just across the street - it has a toddler-sized playground, plus big flat areas for riding bikes or kicking balls. A bigger park, with bigger play structure, is a couple blocks up the hill.
A few more blocks takes you to Glen Canyon, a terrific wild area with rocks to climb, trails to explore, and maybe even a glimpse of SF wildlife!
Walk down 24th Street one block to the start of wonderful Noe Valley, chock-full of family-friendly restaurants, shops, a Whole Foods supermarket, and more. Or, head up to Diamond Heights where you'll find Safeway, a popular Dim Sum restaurant, and more.
The Muni 48 bus stops across the street. The 35 bus stop is one block away, and the 24 is two blocks away. The 24th St BART station is ~12 blocks away on the 48 bus line - or have a nice walk from there through Noe Valley.
Close to the hip Mission district and Castro neighborhoods, but far enough away that the neighborhood is quite, safe, and clean!
This is our family home - we've lived here for about 3 years. Previously we lived nearby in the Mission district. Cooper is a SF native, while Angela is an Australian import. Our two little boys attend the public school just up the street.
Cooper purchased this house in 2013
I lived in San Francisco and the Bay Area for over 20 years; Noe Valley has always been one of those quintessential SF neighborhoods that we'd travel to for meeting friends for dinner or drinks, or just window shopping. Having the opportunity to stay in a beautifully maintained and iconic home in this terrific neighborhood was just perfect for us. For a family of 3 with a toddler, this place was ideal. The owners have children (and toys) of their own, and the moment our 3 year old stepped inside, he was immediately right at home playing with legos and exploring the (rare!) private SF backyard; there's even a park with playground on the corner. The 3 of us stayed downstairs and used the upstairs bathtub for him (the downstairs tub/shower is great, but is an extra deep jacuzzi tub that is harder to get a 40lb kid in and out of). The house has great natural light, was clean and quiet, and being able to park in the driveway in a popular neighborhood is crucial. We loved our stay here, and the next time the family comes to visit SF, we'll hope it's available for us again!
The house was well-equipped with everything we could need. We loved the open floor plan, with bedrooms upstairs and downstairs, plenty of play space for children, a great backyard with play equipment. It is a bright and well-maintained house, cheerful, with a well-equipped kitchen, plenty of towels and other necessities, beautifully furnished, and even as I recall a Christmas tree, which was great for us as we were celebrating a delayed Christmas! We could not have been more comfortable. All was as advertised and more. Five Stars, for sure!
If you are driving, parking tends to be easy near our house - but be sure to carefully read the parking restrictions for street cleaning days, and never block driveways, bus stops, or other red zones - the parking enforcement police are very quick to issue expensive citations..
Generally the driveway is not available for use by visitors. Please ask if you would like to use the driveway - we may be able to make an arrangement.
The garage is not available for visitors.
To arrive via public transit, take the 48 bus from the 24th St BART station and get off at Douglass and 24th st (just a few steps from the house), or take the 35 bus from the Castro Street Muni Metro station, and walk one block up 24th st.
