Nothing quite compares to this charming, old world French design estate home. Post and Beam and stucco construction complement the modern amenities found throughout including a designer kitchen with top-of-the-line Jenn Aire and Electrolux appliances, imported Italian marble bath with European fixtures, and furniture-quality American cherry hardwood floors and trim and the luxury of an antique grand piano. The rooms are appointed with antique and new quality hardwood and leather furniture complementing carved architectural cherry woodwork. The property boasts a private end-of-the-road location with private beach, ocean wading pool, on-property fishing from dramatic granite ledges, and more. Whether hiking the spruce-laden forest paths, searching tide pools for sea life or just relaxing on the lawn or under the covered waterside veranda or, if you choose, the private bedroom sundeck, this destination retreat is sure to be your ticket to the fabled quintessential Maine experience.

Amenities and Kitchen: Bath towels, linens and blankets provided, as well as paper towels, toilet paper, coffee, tea, sugar and basic spices as well as bath and dish soap. Washer and Clothes Dryer on premises. Well appointed kitchen with marble countertops, ceramic cooktop, convection oven, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, blender. Seating and place settings for 10+ guests.

Surrounding area: Thirty minutes from Rockland, Camden to the north and forty mintues to Boothbay to the south. Only 2 hours to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park.

Lawn and exterior decking: Adjacent to the waterfront lawn is a 400 sq. ft. covered veranda allowing outside pleasures even on rainy days. The guest bedroom has a stunning private 100 sq. ft. sun deck. Large lawn and granite ledges provide additional sun bathing and play activities for children and adults.

A hidden gem!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I got married this summer at this house (a small intimate ceremony). The location was perfect - we had a few of our closest friends & family with us. We took a day trip to Monhegan Island (highly recommend!) and got married out on the big rock at low tide. The house was perfect - everyone appreciated the beautiful craftsmanship & memorable views. Vered made the whole process so easy! We highly recommend & hope to come back again soon!

A Slice of Heaven in Mid Coast Maine

Pictures do not do do the scenery justice. A wonderful place with a layout to accommodate adults and children comfortably. We look forward to booking again next year!

whimsical, special home nestled in a beautiful and private coastal setting

  • 5 of 5

This was a very special stay. I do not usually pay these kinds of prices, but it was worth it. The house was unusual and interesting--definitely not cookie cutter. Great porches, waterfront view/access and neat house details. My only criticisms are minor and I mention them *only* because it is priced as a luxury house: the wood work and trim throughout the house was beautiful but sometimes weirdly gratuitous and not always fully finished, and there was some dog poop in the backyard. The house has an excellent, well -appointed kitchen and a luxurious master bedroom and bath. Would definitely stay again. A property highlight: the rocky feature that was accessible from the beach only in low tide. We enjoyed the peaceful cove setting populated by seals and lobster boats and there were some nice trails accessible from the home's property.

Maine at its finest!!

  • 5 of 5

The views from this property were spectacular! We thoroughly enjoyed staying at this vacation home - the ideal home away from home. The house was well-appointed and perfect for entertaining our large family (ranging in age from elementary school kids on up to college kids - plus Nana). The restaurant reviews were spot on. The weather was fantastic and week flew by quickly. It was the perfect place to spend the last week of summer before all the kids had to head back to school. We will definitely be back!!

Beautiful home, private picturesque location

  • 5 of 5

This is truly a unique and special place. The pictures can't capture the beauty of both the location and the craftsmanship of this home. The woodwork is spectacular and awe inspiring. So much detail and custom finishings. The location is off the beaten path and offers a wonderfully private feel. The serenity of the waterfront location and unspoiled nature is remarkable. We would recommend bringing water shoes for adults and children to fully take advantage of the rocks and changing tides. We would definitely return if our travels bring us back to the area.
