We stayed for a ski weekend in March: Boyne Mountain is a few minutes away and we were very pleased with our choice. The waterfront is beautiful, the windows overlooking the lake offer a stunning view. The house is spacious, well organized and extremely clean. The kitchen is well stocked, it's just like being home. The children and the dog very much enjoyed playing in the snow in the yard, especially on the swing. Overall a very positive experience: we would recommend this home to friends any day.
We had a great time! Beautiful view of the lake. Would love to see it in the summer too!
We had a great stay, and the location is perfect for skiing or enjoying Boyne Mtn amenities. The view is beautiful and the house is equipped with everything you need.
Our only complaint was the driveway! We arrived just after 5:00, so it was dark, and it had snowed. There is no street lighting so it was really hard to see the driveway. We ended end putting our truck in the culvert, and then had to have it towed out! We have a large truck, but another person in our group had a car and it was hard to get into the drive (which has a slight incline). A contract to have the drive plowed/salted and/or better markings at the end of the drive would have been helpful.
Bedrooms and home was exactly as advertised. We were able to sleep our family members accordingly as planned. Host was very accommodating with directions, helpful information binder, and several touch base phone calls upon arrival to make sure we were squared away. This was an affordable solution for us for a week that doesn't set you back a ton. Close to the water with amazing views. The only criticism was that it did not feel like the house was cleaned before we arrived and if it was cleaned, the cleaning service cut many corners. It was by no means a deal breaker for us, more of a notice to the owner about the service he is paying for between renters.
I'm giving this property five stars not because it's a five-star property (it's nice, but not the Ritz) but because it's exactly as advertised. If you like what you see in the listing, you'll like the property. For our group of guys cycling up north for the weekend it was perfect.
We had a very nice stay at this property. There was plenty of space for all of us, everything that we needed to prepare meals and make our temporary home was supplied and the views of the lake were excellent. The deck outside provided the perfect place for us to sit and socialize. We were in town to run in the Charlevoix Marathon and brought family in from all over the country so having the space to get everyone together was a huge plus. It was also very helpful to be able to prepare our own meals leading up to the race. Overall, we enjoyed our stay very much and would recommend the house to others coming to the area.
