Overview

Cammal House Rental Photos and Description

House, 3 Bedrooms, 1.5 Baths, (Sleeps 9)

On a limited basis I'm now booking summer 2017 ....This is the best rental located directly on Pine Creek! This charming 3 bedroom ranch home, encompassing 3 acres, is located on a beautiful 1/2 mile long straight, still section of Pine Creek. In the summertime this area of the creek is so deep it seems like a lake, and is considered one of the best fishing spots on Pine Creek. The creek runs from shallow to 10 feet deep and is great for swimming, rock jumping, rafting, boating, crayfish catching and just plain having fun.

The 3 acre property, with beautiful mountain views all around, is located at the end of a private dead-end road and has 375 feet of creek frontage. The 62 mile long Pine Creek rails to trails is directly in the backyard but secluded from view from the house and yard.

This is a birders paradise with both water and field varieties aplenty. Enjoy the quiet while studying the stars at night around the campfire!

Our fully furnished house sleeps 8 comfortably with a king size bed, queen bed, double bed and 3 bunk beds. The kitchen has all the modern amenities and we supply the towels and bed linens. There is a screened-in porch and a side patio off the kitchen complete with awning covered table and chairs for outdoor dining.

May 1 to September 6th, 2016, weekly rentals only. Prefer Friday to Friday time period!

Awesome location of The Pine Creek!

  • 5 of 5

First of all, Thank You for sharing your Great property with us to enjoy!

Beautiful location on the Pine Creek, saw lots of wildlife.. Loved watching the Eagles! Our 3 year old got super excited when he was able to get within 5 feet of a fawn that was lying in the grass along the rail trail.

We really enjoyed the creek, swimming, kayaking, cliff jumping and fishing!

Also enjoyed the many different species of birds.

Cabin is very nicely furnished and we were able to feel right at home.

We are planning on returning in 2017 (Lord Willing).

Great location

  • 5 of 5

3 generations of our family stayed for our weekly vacation. Great location and ease of getting to pine creek and to rail trail directly from home is convenient. Hiking, biking, campfires, kayaking, and hour drive to PA Grand Canyon for sight seeing all involved thru-out the week. Fine restaurants close by. Teenage grandson loved it and the computer games kept him busy. All amenities are well kept and useful. We all enjoyed our stay and never ran out of things to do. Owners are very helpful and answer all questions promptly.

Fantastic Get-Away!

  • 5 of 5

My family stayed here for a long weekend and had a great time! The home is well kept, stocked, and in a wonderful location. We loved being able to walk to the creek to do some fishing, wildlife watching (eagles, mergansers, beavers, and a variety of ducks), as well as just listening to the water. The amenities are great with Wi-Fi, satellite TV (it rained 1 day so it was a nice distraction for our 3 year old), and a variety of appliances for cooking. I've been staying in this area for over 20 years, and this is one of the nicest homes I've rented. For being pet friendly, it didn't smell like dogs or have hair everywhere. It is also one of the few places I've stayed that truly had the basic staples on hand (toilet paper, paper towels, linens, bath towels, etc...). It is less than 10 miles away in either direction from some great local restaurants, general stores, and of course fishing. The owners were extremely easy to work with, and really made sure their home was in great shape. We absolutely loved our stay and will return!

Wilderness hiker's heaven

The area reminded us of southern Idaho. Unspoiled, gorgeous, hike accessible. The house is warm, extremely comfortable, generously stocked. This is a gem. More than that for distance runners. We can't wait to return.

Pine Creek in May

  • 5 of 5

Nearby activities explored by the ladies, and excellent fishing by the men and women right out your back door. Mostly warm and sunny, can't say enough good things about the accommodations. Well maintained, clean home. Neighbors and owner very helpful. Hope to go back again next year. Thanks Steve for a wonderful vacation! We enjoyed our stay!

Absolutely perfect mountain getaway!

  • 5 of 5

We live fairly locally, but were looking to "get off the grid" with no cell phones, computers, etc., and to enjoy family time and the beautiful nature of Pine Creek, where I swam each summer as a kid. I can't imagine a better spot existing to do just that! We spent the long weekend kayaking, swimming, jumping off the rock cliffs nearby (so much fun, and my feet never touched bottom!), biking, and making s'mores and mountain pies over the fire. Because the yard is so spacious we were also able to play the yard games we brought along, including cornhole. Steve was gracious enough to allow our 2 yellow labs to come along, and they essentially stayed in the creek the entire time, fetching sticks and paddling around. They were very tired at night! We grilled one evening, and dined at the Waterville Tavern the other 2 nights, which had excellent food and very friendly owners (Deb and Al). At night when it got too chilly, we were able to play card games around the table in the kitchen. Six adults stayed in the house, and we all agreed that it was more than enough space for us. The house is wide open and quite roomy. Additionally, we wouldn't have had to bring nearly all the stuff we did, as the house is very well-appointed in terms of kitchen gadgets, and even things like sugar, etc. Although the pictures on this website are nice, they do not do justice for the place. We also saw a bald eagle going fishing "for breakfast" while we ate our breakfast in the morning. Enjoying coffee on the porch was another relaxing morning activity. Can't say enough about the great time we had enjoying nature and the company of family. Steve was professional and friendly, and very quick to respond to questions as well.

Map

House is a short distance from the Pine Creek, which is a 1/2 mile long on a flat, deep area that is considered one of the best fishing holes on Pine Creek. There is also a 12 foot hole ideal for swimming and rock jumping. You can jump on the 62 mile long Pine Creek Rails to Trails in the backyard, but it is secluded from the house and property. Located 25 miles south of the Pennsyvania Grand Canyon and 25 miles to Williamport, home of Little League Baseball Musuem and World Series and many restaurants and shopping centers.
