About The Owner

My husband, Jim and I, have been visiting Mac's cabin since the early 90's when our friends owned the cabin. When they decided to sell the cabin back in 2006, we jumped at the opportunity to buy it. We have always loved the cabin, its proximity to downtown Blue Ridge and all the wonderful, outdoor activities Blue Ridge and the surrounding areas have to offer! We have spent many wonderful weekends up at the cabin, exploring the area with our family. We hope you enjoy your stay at our cabin!!!!

The Owner purchased this cabin in 2006

Cute cabin getaway, just close enough to town

  • 4 of 5

Really enjoyed our family getaway for the 4 of us. Wish it hadn't rained most of the weekend, but the screened in porch made it pleasant to just sit and listen to the woods while we played cards and board games. Spent time at Mercier Orchards, Blue Ridge Scenic Railway, and downtown Blue Ridge.

Clean, easy to get to cabin

  • 2 of 5

Problems reserving and accessing cabin. Cabin was clean, but musty. Bring everything with including soap to wash your hands. Confirm access code day before. We lost 3 hours of our blue ridge weekend time waiting for response to emails, calling etc.

I was totally taken aback with the cabin. My wife and I found the place not that clean. The place smelled as if dogs were sleeping all over the place. We actually stripped the bedding; went to Walmart and purchased new bedding, bath cloths, and towels. Please dust the place before inviting others to stay. 200 yards from lake is misleading... I wanted to fish but could not. Never again will I do this!

Relaxing stay in a wonderful cabin!

  • 5 of 5

This was a great place for a get-away. Quiet setting with beautiful views, but still convenient to town. All the better because we were able to bring the whole family (our dog LOVED the access to the woods and lake - so many great things to smell!)! It was so nice to have a book with information about local shops, restaurants, and attractions. We hope to return sometime!

Cozy cabin

  • 4 of 5

I loved the cabin! It was just the right size and close to town. The walk to the lake was down a short trail. The deck was a refreshing, relaxing area to hang out with the family. I would definitely recommend this cabin.

Perfect weekend getaway

  • 5 of 5

We got lucky and rented this cozy little cabin at the last minute. Everything was perfect. We spent the most time out on the porch enjoying the trees and nature. The best part was taking our dog on the trail around the lake. We will definitely be back!
