A family country farm house is located just outside of Michigan's own German town, Frankenmuth. Frankenmuth offers a variety of unique shops. You will find fudge kitchens, cheese shops, meat markets, clothing shops, taffy kitchens and of course the famous Bronner's Christmas Shop. Zenders and Bavarian Inn are just two of the well renowned restaurants.
heidel haus offers a master bedroom with a king size bed on the main floor and two bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with two double beds, on the upper level. You can sleep 8 individuals. It has two full baths on the main level for the comfort of all the guests. Because heidel haus is the typical farm house, it offers not just one but two living rooms and a room with a full size pool table. heidel haus offes a huge fully equipped kitchen. You can comfortably cook for and entertain numerous individuals. The kitchen has an electric stove, dishwasher, refrigerator, coffee maker, toaster, mixer and all the dishes, silverware, pots and pans you would ever need. The yard is landscaped with mature trees and lots of lawn for adults and children to play or just sit outdoors and enjoy the view.
The house and property were beautiful. We had a room where the kids played and a place for the adults to hang out without bothering each other. Plenty of room with vintage charm. We really enjoyed spending our winter break together instead of separated by individual hotel rooms. Very close to town and easy to find.
The Heidel Haus in Frankenmuth, MI was all we had expected and hoped for. My husband and I rented it for the Christmas holiday. We needed the space for our son from LA and daughter, son-in-law and toddler grandson from Indiana. It was perfect - spacious, clean, comfortable and cozy warm. It had all the basics needed such as comfortable furniture, a fully equipped, spacious kitchen with plenty of dishes, glasses and pots and pans and a dishwasher, and a newer TV with a DVD player. It is an old farmhouse with nothing fancy or updated, but all in good working order (although the shower in the master bath needs a little work, but was usable). Both bathrooms are downstairs - none upstairs, but that worked for us. We ordered our delicious Christmas chicken dinner from Zehnder's Restaurant about two miles down the road. We spent a very fun day at nearby Zehnder's Splash Village. The toddler and adults all loved it! Birch Run Outlet Mall is only about 10 miles south. We would definitely rent this house again and recommend it to others.
Heidl Haus provided a respite back in time. It is an old fashioned farm house that has been added on to through the ages and was just what we wanted for a cold, blustery weekend. It is furnished in old fashioned farm house style with a modern kitchen and plumbing. We gathered to celebrate living and life on our family's patriarch's 75th birthday with daughters, son-in-law and grandsons together as a family . Everyone had a place to sleep and plenty of bathrooms to go around. The pool room was quite a hit. One daughter plays on a pool league in Boston and was our guide and mentor to upping our game. We gathered around the kitchen table for meals and games and enjoyed watching UM WIN! against Indiana on a modern TV. Everyone was glad for WI-FI also. The kitchen was well equipped and we prepared most of our meals on site.
We appreciated the premises being very clean and good directions on what we needed to do upon leaving. The village of Frankenmuth is charming and a nice afternoon. and just a few miles down the road. Walking around the farm you get a bird's eye view of a working farm.
A very enjoyable visit.
Four of us got together to celebrate a couple of birthdays. The farm house reminded me a bit of my grandparents' farm house. I almost expected to see Grandma in the kitchen baking pies and frying potatoes in her cast iron skillet. The kitchen had everything we needed and the house was nice and clean. Frankenmuth is a charming town. There are plenty of shops and no trip is complete without a stop at Bronners for some instant Christmas spirit. Town is a straight shot 5 minutes down the road from the house-very convenient.
We had a great time staying in your farm house. We enjoyed the closeness to Frankenmuth and other places we visited.
The house was nice and warm. Perfect for what we needed. Would consider staying again if ever visiting that area.
Place is very nice very clean and very close to Frakenmuth. But there were two problems that presented which could not be fixed so you either accept them or move on. Problem one was that both bathrooms were on the first floor. We were two couples all over 60 so this was a problem. Second the air conditioning unit is to small for this large of a home. The couple that stayed upstairs had a rough time sleeping due to the heat.
When we first arrived and found the bathroom problem we decided that although we were not happy with this fact not being in the description of the home we would stay. The next morning we almost left. The couple staying upstairs brought the heat problem to our attention. I sent an email to the owner which was not answered. Later that day I did send another email letting the owner know that we had decided to stay and just live with the problems. But I never did get a response.
Since we only slept there I gave it a higher rating than if we had entertained.
