Picture-postcard vistas -- including the brilliant pink of flowering ice plant, the vast blue expanse of the bay with all its fascinating marine wildlife and distant mountains -- are yours to enjoy from virtually every room in this 1,700-square-foot single-story house that sleeps 7 adults.
The house is wrapped around a glass-enclosed atrium. An upscale beach motif prevails in the décor with its palette of white, neutrals and a range of ocean blues. The living room features floor-to-ceiling glass on two walls allowing stunning bay views. Luxurious & Romantic...: Upon your arrival you will be greeted by two free aquarium passes and a basket of local information. We have also provided bathrobes, and towels, and beach gear.
The house is just minutes from downtown Pacific Grove with all its charming shops and restaurants and the famed Monterey Bay Aquarium. Across the street is the Monterey Peninsula Recreational Trail that goes from Asilomar beach along the rocky coastline all the way to Cannery Row. A beautiful undiscovered municipal golf course is nearby. Monterey and Carmel are only 5 to10 minutes away by car.
Spacious and Comfortable...: The spacious living room features a pitched ceiling with wood beams, wall-to-wall carpeting and floor-to-ceiling glass on two walls interrupted only by a gas fireplace set in fossil stone. Built-in shelving creates an entertainment center holding a flat-screen LCD-HDTV with Blue-Ray DVD player, a library of books, magazines, games and DVDs. A glass table and chairs situated in the corner where two windows meet allow for casual dining or game playing while watching soaring sea birds, sailboats on the bay and ever-changing light and cloud patterns. Furnishings include a white couch/chaise, end tables and a coffee table with a driftwood finish. Sliding glass doors in the living room lead to a deck facing the bay that is equipped with a bistro table and chairs so that you can enjoy coffee with the morning and cocktails at sunset.
Beautiful remodeled kitchen and more...: Gourmet cooks will be thrilled with the bright, completely remodeled kitchen with its tile floor, fresh white cabinets with stainless steel pulls, granite counter tops and top-quality stainless steel appliances including dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator and gas stove. The house is fully stocked with dishes and all the accouterments for entertaining in the adjacent dining room that features a wooden table with driftwood finish and white legs, upholstered chairs and modern brushed nickel light fixture. In fact, light fixtures throughout the house are brushed nickel. The wind-protected atrium is equipped with a gas light Weber Kettle charcoal grill and table and chairs if you prefer to cook and/or dine in the fresh air among the beautiful flowering potted plants.
Landscaped with flowering shrubs and native plants, the house has an enclosed back yard perfect for pets. A front-loading washer and dryer are located in the single-car garage. Additional parking in driveway & on the street.
The views from the deck, living room and master bedroom are fabulous. The home is simply and beautifully decorated. The beds are so comfortable. This is the perfect house to relax and enjoy the ocean views. We used the walking/bike path along the ocean every day as we walked or biked to 17 mile drive or Monterey. The owner greeted us upon arrival and acquainted us with the home. We look forward to staying there again!
Our 33 rd year of Beach Ladies retreat . We arrived at 4 pm but had to wait for 1/2 hour because cleaning people were still there. The rest of our trip had no problems . The views were spectacular . It was very quiet at night so everyone slept fine. Linens , beds , kitchen ware , parking and heating all was perfect. We were able to walk everyday on the wonderful trail along the ocean and to lovers point. Had dinner at the Beach House Resturant that was fantastic Try early bird special and save a lot of money. Thank you so much for sharing Siren Song with us and we have decided to return for next year . Gayle it was so great to talk to you !
This was our second visit to Siren's Song and we loved our stay once again. It is the perfect location close to everything yet not in the middle of everything. We walked along the water on the path across street. We saw whales spouting from the deck. My guests thoroughly enjoyed their stay and would like to stay at Siren's Song again. My husband and I as well as our dog Jake will be back again as well.
Location-location-location. The best parts of this house are the panoramic views of Monterey Bay from the family room and the deck. We relaxed on the front porch each day, walked the nearby beach trails, watched people fish across the street and saw otters and sea lions swimming in the bay. We had a wonderful stay at Siren Song home in Pacific Grove. The home is very comfortable and has great amenities. The location is superb, easy access to restaurants and stores and just minutes to Monterey and Carmel. The welcome bottle of wine and passes to the Aquarium were a nice touch. The house is wonderful and I highly recommend this rental!
We had a wonderful stay at Siren Song in Pacific Grove. Shortly after arriving we were welcomed by Stephanie. She was a great help in familiarizing us to the house. The house was clean. The beds were comfortable. The sheets were soft. The decor and ocean front views were beautiful and relaxing. Just steps away from an ocean trail that meanders for miles in either direction. There are convenient benches that dot the coast along the trail. My senior parents enjoyed the walk among the native flowers and sitting on the benches to admire the views. We had five adults in our vacation party and everyone fell in love with this vacation home. We visited the Mission at Carmel and the Monterey Bay Aquarium. We had the pleasure of eating at Fifi’s Bistro Café, Fandango’s Restaurant, Taste Café and Bistro, Domenico’s on the Wharf and Red House Café. Looking forward to our next stay in September! The Monterey Peninsula is unique in its combination of breathtaking natural resources and a multiplicity of cultural and entertainment possibilities. You can find something for every possible taste. For nature lovers, there is the diversity of mountain and sea, for picnicking, surfing, fishing, horseback riding, hiking, beachcombing, bird-watching, kayaking, scuba diving, tidepooling, biking and more. If you want a man-made excitement, we have art galleries galore, excellent fine-art museums, local theater, outstanding restaurants, boutiques, a natural history and a children's museum, a world-class aquarium, and that's just for starters. History buffs will have a field day exploring the adobes of Monterey. There's so much to do that you cannot possibly do it all in one visit, which means you will have to come back.
