Nestled in the hills just above the Roxy Ann Winery and minutes from Roxy Ann Peak hiking trails, this beautifully furnished and unusually large 2 story luxury unit has amazing views of the nearby vineyard, the valley and surrounding mountains. High above and behind the owner’s home on their gated property, this very private, unique and tranquil space has countless amenities.
Not only is the Roxy Ann Retreat a perfect location for a romantic getaway, but it also offers enough floor space to accommodate families with small children (if you bring your own travel crib or aero bed).
Centrally located, it’s a quick drive to Ashland and the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Jacksonville, Rogue River, Lake of the Woods and surrounding areas.
Relax on the deck with your loved ones (or from the large window in the bedroom) and watch our breathtaking sunsets, after a day of wine tasting, theatre or rafting.
We look forward to your visit.
About the Owner: Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, husband and wife, David and Elyse Roxander, have been teaching dance, directing and choreographing for over 20 years. One of the things they enjoy most about the Rogue Valley is the ever changing seasons and the physical beauty of the area. They are also frequent visitors to the nearby Oregon Shakespeare Festival and the quaint and charming town of Ashland.
Not only are we a short trip to the Shakespeare Festival, local wineries, and more, our home is a mere 2 minute drive to the Roxy Ann Peak hiking trails, which boast some of the most amazing and panoramic views of the valley. On a clear day you can see forever!

Beautiful place – very relaxing. Great proximity to the Oregon Caves and Mt. Ashland! The first thing we did upon arriving was grab some reading materials, make a cocktail, and then sit in the two chairs upstairs looking out onto the valley, watching the ever changing clouds and horizon. It was soooo relaxing. The views of the storm clouds and the local wildlife (birds & deer) were a great counterpart to our normal city life. We absolutely loved choosing your carriage house for our little retreat. Our only regret is it wrapped up so fast. We'll definitely stay here again.
We really enjoyed being able to return to this relaxing retreat after busy holiday days. It is in a great location for a variety of outings, although we spent most of this trip in Medford visiting family for Christmas. We hope to return to this beautiful spot!
We enjoyed our stay at the carriage house, it was well outfitted and comfortable to stay in
Enjoyed our second stay and will definitely return on our next time to Medford.
I have stayed here about 10 times it is wonderful to come back
We enjoyed our stay. It's was a great location for our plans to do a Rogue Valley wine tasting weekend. The carriage house is very clean, large and spacious. It was located in a very nice upscale suburban neighborhood, on a hill facing west so you can enjoy the sunset. We enjoyed that we could even walk to Roxy Ann vinyard, which was one we planned to visit anyways.
My husband and I were very happy with our stay at Roxy Ann Retreat! It was the perfect place to relax after a full day of wine tasting and exploring the countryside. Medford has many great restaurants to enjoy and the retreat is centrally located for any number of activities. The Roxy Ann winery is a short distance from this accommodation which makes for a great place to have a glass of wine or enjoy an excellent tasting before heading back to the retreat. The carriage house is very nicely decorated, private and extremely comfortable for two people. I do not hesitate to recommend this VRBO!
