This is a large one bedroom apartment located on a quite country road just a few minutes from the Taconic State Parkway We are a short distance from Red Hook, Rhinebeck, Tivoli and Bard. The bedroom has a queen size bed. And there are available twin bed(s) which can be set up in the living room. There is a large comfy living room with cable TV and a CD/MP3 player. The large eat in kitchen is fully equipped for cooking.
I live in the house were the apartment is located. (The apartment is very private from the house.) But I am here to help you have a great stay, and enjoy the areas many wonderful attractions.
Anne Ballantine purchased this apartment in 2000
I love this area because the house is located in a rural area, but so close to Red Hook, Rhinebeck, Germantown, Tivoli, Bard College.
It's like getting away to the country every day.
Apologies for the tardy review. We stayed for one week, early summer, I cannot recall the date. Pros: very quiet area, central to area attractions, spacious suite. Cons: flat was poorly prepared for guests. Patch of mold in the fridge, cobwebs in shower....when I made the bed my foot brushed up against something and I looked down, my foot had dislodged a pile of debris which had been pushed under the bed, included an old t-shirt, scraps of yellowed paper and other items I prefer not to mention, looked like cleaner had swept up and instead of using a broom pan to carry debris away had just shoved everything under the bed. Owner was away most of the time, seem to be a very busy person and perhaps not able to give time to her lodging.
Our stay was the best ever. The property is lovely, comfortable, spacious, clean and tastefully decorated. It is also located in a gorgeous, quiet but also convenient location. Owner is an absolutely wonderful, kind hostess. We most definitely hope to stay again on our future visits to the area.
