My first review from guests:
Mattie Bell from NY, 'The house was superb. It was so clean and had everything we needed. It was very comfortable and accommodating. The location was very convenient.'
Enjoy Music City, Nashville, TN. then retreat to this newly renovated vacation rental surrounded by massive oak & maple trees.
This lovely home is less than 20 miles (or 20 minutes) to the shops on Main street and wonderful architecture of downtown Franklin or the famous Ryman Auditorium in downtown Nashville. Enjoy the many live shows on Broadway, enjoy the art and gardens at nearby Cheekwood Botanical Gardens or see a famous country music star at the Grand Ole Opry.
Stay here to replenish your batteries. Experience the tranquility and beauty of this spot. Massive oak and maple trees grace the front yard shading the screened in front porch for a perfect reading spot.
The back yard offers a full patio for sunbathing or outdoor dining. A pergola provides a respite from the afternoon sun. Fabulous views of the hills in the distance provide the place to enjoy sunsets.
The home is newly remodeled and fully furnished with three bedrooms, one full bath. The large kitchen opens to a dining area, living room and artist's studio.
Are you seeking inspiration to get creative juices flowing again? Look no further. The studio is bathed in natural light and has a sink for those interested in painting, sculpting, building or whatever medium you choose. For those seeking darker, rustic spaces for writing inspiration or the like, there is a barn with electricity nearby.
Nature enthusiasts will be delighted to see pileated woodpeckers flying through enormous oak, poplar and hickory trees.
Goats are in pasture in back, great for kids but parents need to keep eye out b/c goats are curious and may nibble!
The locale is a favorite among bikers. After a long ride, replenish yourself in the outdoor shower! Edwin and Percy Warner Parks comprise over 2,000 acres of hiking, biking and horse back riding trails are only seven miles away. The Harpeth River is even closer, for all your canoeing and floating desires.
Whether you need a private retreat or a resting spot while you take in city life, this is the ideal place for your Nashville vacation.

Young real estate professional. Lover of old homes, animals and the earth. Seeing things grow whether it is a garden, person or a place to lay one's head is one of my favorites and being involved and helping in that process is even better. Discovering off the beaten path new places with friends who I can laugh my guts out with is the best. My top things that make a place great - clean space with natural light, quiet place to sleep at night, spot to sit outside and take in the surroundings, comfy bed, hosts that are helpful but not up in my grill (please give me the scoop on the best local places to eat fresh, healthy foods), filtered drinking water. And by the way, the space I offer has all these things and more! I have two dogs, 1 cat and 12 goats but don't worry they stay home when I go on vacation.
Larissa purchased this house in 2011
Having lived within walking distance for the past several years, I know from experience the tranquility and beauty of this spot. It's location is close to many attractions for tourists, hiking enthusiasts, kayakers, bikers and nature lovers. Easy access to the Harpeth River, Natchez Trace parkway and downtown Nashville and Historic Franklin make it the perfect spot for a variety of vacationers.
It takes only 20 minutes by I-40 or scenic Hwy 100 to get to the heart of Music City, Broadway and the Ryman Auditorium. Historic Franklin TN with it's variety shops include antique markets, art galleries and boutiques are 20 minutes in the other direction and can be reached by driving the famous Natchez Trace Parkway. Although nature enthusiast will love the location, vacationers are only 5 minutes away from a variety of amenities.

Three friends from Norway on trip to Nashville thought better to find a "home away from home" than spending a fortune on a down town hotel. Larissa`s rental house in the oak forest was perfect for us - one bedroom each, fully equipped kitchen, TV, livingroom etc. Yes - it is a drive out of town - but nice for us from overseas to live like the natives :-) We even saw 10 deer outside the window one morning.
This house is wonderful and a peaceful place to retreat after busy days. The outside grounds are beautiful and spacious... with views of donkeys and goats and the surrounding countryside. The disc swing on a rope in a glorious old tree let the adult kids swing far and wide and was a great hit. The house was spacious and airy and well decorated. Kitchen was great. We prepared a large meal and hosted a good sized gathering comfortably. The "artists studio" garage with a glass door was perfect to set a meal up and be able to use the rest of the house for eating and visiting. Beds comfortable. We could not have asked for a better place to stay during my daughter's wedding! Nashville Farm Stay was a perfect home away from home. 😃
We really enjoyed our Nashville Farm Stay! After being around thousands of people in the city, from morning until midnight, it was so peaceful to drive in to the hills away from traffic and crowds.
Your home offered us the opportunity to cook a few family meals instead of eating out our entire trip. It also afforded us the opportunity to keep up with our laundry while we were on vacation!
I would definitely recommend it to anyone that loves the country and the simple life. We have stayed in hotels in Nashville during the CMA Music Festival. This was a much greater value for your dollar!! It was much nicer and more comfortable! I will say it is not for the extravagant but for the average person it is ideal!
We loved everything about the house and property. Everything was well furnished and clean. The location was quiet and relaxing. We loved the goats. Our stay was during the winter, and we are hoping to return when it is warmer to be able to enjoy the outside areas more. The owner has done a fantastic job of providing everything needed for a nice relaxing comfortable stay.
My family and I loved the house and the property. Everything is just as described and as seen in photos. I feel like this is the perfect place in Nashville - you feel like you're way out in the country when you are on the farm, but in reality you are very close to everything you could possibly want or need. The place is obviously well-kept and well cared for. I would definitely recommend a stay here, and I would absolutely stay there again. We had zero complaints.
Great house and we had a wonderful stay here. Lots of light - and open space in the kitchen/dining area. Wonderful yard and peaceful view of the surroundings. The photos are very accurate and helpful. Kitchen was nicely equipped; great location for being away from it all but everything you might need is 5-10 min away. Nice house and nicely kept. Would stay again for sure. Thanks.
