Spacious and convenient to old town, airport and train station. Also very nice hosts.
Our stay with Karin and Edwin was enjoyable in every way. They were very
accommodating. The apartment is very spacious and very well furnished.
The location in the Museum Quarter is fantastic.
Tastefully done interiors. Awesome location. Highly recommended.
Loved my stay here. Everything was perfect!

Regards Karin and Edwin / Studio Palamedes Amsterdam
We enjoyed our four nights here. Edwin was a gracious host and was even nice enough to assist with our numerous suitcases and helped hauling them up the typically steep Dutch staircase. He had maps and guidebooks ready for us, also marked local restaurants and grocery stores! Everything was super clean, super convenient, and well thought out for making our stay comfortable. The apartment is bright and overlooks several garden patios below. I would highly recommend this unit to anyone, but be warned the stairs are very steep and only 3” wide in spots! If mobility issues are a problem, this might not work for you.
Edwin was of great help with everything.
A great couple, nice guests.
Charming, Well-Situated Accommodations
My husband and I were on our first visit to Amsterdam together and we couldn't have selected a more perfect place to stay. We knew in advance about the steep staircases but they were not a problem. We arrived too early to check in but Edwin greeted us and gave us space to store our bags while we went sightseeing and waited to move in. (When we returned, we found that he had kindly wrangled our suitcases to the top floor--a lovely gesture for two tired travelers!). We couldn't have been cozier in our rooftop getaway. Very comfortable bed, wonderful light, modern appliances--we couldn't have asked for more. We walked everywhere from the well-located property, tucked away in a quiet lane off a main street. Museums and the fabulous Vogelpark were minutes away and all the other attractions within very manageable walks. The neighborhood has lots of good restaurants and a market just a half-block away. If we return to Amsterdam, the Red Studio will be our first choice for a home-away-from-home. Thank you, Karin and Edwin!
The Studios are on the 3rd floor, you'll have to climb stairs. The canals with the stately houses from the 17th century, the museums with the typical old Dutch paintings as the RijksMuseum and the Van Goghmuseum and the modern art and design collection in the Stedelijk Museum. The Vondelpark for jogging, walking and the many terrasses. It is all in walking distance.
