It was our first trip to The USA and everything was even better than we had expected. The apartment was delightfully cosy: all clean and in order, the neighbourhood was really quiet, in fact we hardly saw people in the building apart from us. Michael was really kind, willing to help all the time. But the most amazing thing was that we were 25 blocks from Times Square as well as Downton and Soho. We hope to come back. All the best from Argentina.
This apartment was comfortable and accommodating for our family of 4. However, it was quite noisy. Creaky floors, thin walls, noisy street, LOUD radiator...that leaked and sounded like a monster was trying to escape from the pipes, every hour on the hour. Haha, it made for a true nyc experience for sure. We had a hard time sleeping, but we handled it just fine. The apartment is a few blocks from any Subway, and with small children it was rough bc of the cold weather. There was a grocery store around the corner, so that was nice bc we were able to stock up on necessities. Cute and safe neighborhood with a ton of places to eat. We really can't complain too much. Michael was very accomodating and promptly met us the day of our arrival. Overall, after a day of sightseeing, it was a comfortable place to relax.
Although the apt was not the exact one pictured, it had all of the features described. It was very clean and comfortable. Plenty of space for two people, with a small but very functional kitchen area. It had a nice bathroom, good closet space, and a little spot with outdoor seating. Management service was excellent. Overall, a very good find!
Overall we had a great experience in this apartment. It was clean and the owners were very responsive at check-in. For future visitors info, it is a little walk to subway but not outrageous. Also, in winter, the heating system (or at least this is my guess about what I was hearing) discharges the steam right outside the bedroom. It's pretty loud and almost sounds like someone spraying water on the window. Not a huge deal- and can't be helped. It only happens occasionally. While we were there, the neighbors in the next building were very loud into the night. Again, no fault of the building owner but the walls are thin. Just FYI. The pull-out sofa is pretty hard. Could use an upgrade to make more comfortable for a true "2 bedroom" type experience.
My husband, two teenage daughters and I stayed in this great apartment at the end of August. For us, it was the perfect location for all the tourist attractions we wanted to see (all over Manhattan) in the 4 days we were there. As a 1BR apartment, it was snug for 4, but worked just fine, especially as we spent most of our time out and about. The neighborhood has so much to offer! Lots of delicious restaurants within easy walking distance. The subway and bus is easy to fine. Michael, who met us on our arrival, was a wealth of information - not only about the neighborhood, but also metro tickets, where to go, what to see. If we ever return to NY, I would definitely come back to stay in this apartment again!
