This area of Inwood, the northern most point of Manhattan, is called the 'South Beach of NYC'. The location is ideal, and access to Manhattan, Midtown and points south is easy; the subway is on the corner...The unique layout of the apartment offers privacy unlike any other, perfect for visitors. Adjacent to Fort Tryon Park, the Cloisters landmark is visible looking up at the mountain! Lots of trees, lots of street parking and buildings that are not over 7 stories means plenty of sky instead of steel. 3 blocks from the Hudson River, 5 blocks from the East River. Access to airports is easy; LaGuardia is closest, about 30 minutes (off hours). As a business 'center', partners and clients easily meet here. Ideal for a business traveler or tourist.
An ideal location for a NYC visit and easy access to all areas via the subway just 20 feet from the building! Spacious, comfortable, private, secure. The BnB feeling and unique bedroom layout plus large business office 'center' offer an ideal location. The many sites and local restaurants and an easy walk up to the highest view in NYC are part of the charm of the neighborhood!
What a great weekend in NYC, in a great apartment with an awesome host. Victoria was excellent in communicating with us and ensuring that we had everything planned for our weekend. We appreciated the care that she put into organizing the apartment and ensuring we did not have to worry about anything regarding the apartment. We had several family members who live in NYC come by and visit and they all commented on the large and beautiful apartment. We loved the neighbourhood and the amenities. The "Books of Victoria" as they affectionately became known were an invaluable resource for finding restaurants, services and things to do in and around the neighbourhood and NYC in general and being on top of the subway station made getting around the city easy. We had 7 family members staying for the weekend and we had more than ample room for all, our grandson loved the dog in the front entrance by the way. Thank you for a great family weekend in the big apple.
I would highly recommend Victoria's apartment in Inwood. The location is amazing. So close to so many great restaurants, interesting and cultural things to do in New York, and the subway is literally two doors down. Everything you could possibly need is in the apartment, and if it's not Victoria will make sure that you get it. I have no hesitation in recommending this apartment for your next trip to New York. Enjoy!
We had an amazing time in this cozy fully furnished apartment! We had a group of 7 which everybody had thier own comfortable space. Victoria was accomodating to all of our needs. She was very responsive if we needed any help. In addition to that she had clear instructions and very helpfull notes throughout the apartment. When we walked tgrough the door it felt as though we had just walked into our own home. The place was very welcoming. The neighbourhood has a very vibrant energy and was amazing to experience. Great food nearby, grocery store across the road, subway right below the apartment! This place could not have been any more convinient. I am super happy with our stay and would most definately stay here again if we returned to New York. Thanks for having us. Highly recomended!
The apartment was purely amazing!! Very spacious and well laid out. We had 4 guys in town for 3 nights and we never got in each others way. Nice to have 2 bathrooms and a very comfortable living room area. The kitchen was the cat's meow. Very nice to be able to cook if you want. The market across the street was very convenient too. We loved the A Train only steps away too. I will definitely stay here again.
My wife, two sons (21 & 19), daughter (14) and I just spent Thanksgiving week visiting NYC for their first time and we're very happy to have found this jewel on HomeAway! It was very comfortable, spacious, and well appointed with everything we could possibly need. The owner, Victoria, was extremely thoughtful, solicitous and pleasant. We wholeheartedly agree with all reviewers' positive comments, so I'll only expand on one of its biggest pluses...its location. Only feet away from the entrance to the A line on 200th St., most Manhattan attractions are easily accessible without having to change trains. Because the A line starts one exit away at 207th, we had no problem finding empty seats when heading downtown, even in the middle of rush hour. (If you're inexperienced with the NYC subway system, I would highly recommend the NYC KickMap app, which works like a MapQuest of the entire subway system.) For the couple of nights we decided to dine nearby, there were plenty of restaurants to choose from. One of our favorites was Guadalupe. Their churrasco (skirt steak) was excellent and one of them could easily feed two young, growing men! We really loved this condo and will definitively stay here again next time we visit the Big Apple.
I am a very fussy person and chose this apartment after hours of research. I was not disappointed!
Our party consisted of myself, my husband, three teenage boys and my mother and we were all delighted by the decor, the comfort and the area.
Victoria was helpful right from the start of the process, answering any questions and providing lots of information.
The apartment is beautiful, the lift reliable, neighbours friendly and courtyard well kept and delightful. The laundry room is excellent and very handy.
Victoria has umbrellas and all sorts of other bits you might need which saves on packing.
It is like being at home, so welcoming, and my friends and family who popped in all said how warm and inviting it is.
The location is excellent. Literally yards from the subway station and buses taking you straight downtown. We also explored further uptown by bus which was great fun too.
There are plenty of shops, restaurants and other services around.
The deli a couple of doors down does an amazing everything bagel with cream cheese!
Broadway is noisy!! Of course it is and as I was up due to the time difference I did wonder where everyone was going at 3am! However, you soon get used to it and we were so tired after our days out and about we just slept through.
We were lucky enough to stay for a week and would do so again.
I quite liked bring a subway ride away from the hustle and bustle and it was a lovely base for us as a family.
