Upper Manhattan Apartment Rental Photos and Description

3 bedrooms, 4th bedroom with futon plus office & portable; sleeps 6, 8, 9+

A very spacious, immaculate 3 bedroom, 2 bathrooms plus 4th bedroom/office is more like a BednBreakfast than a NYC apartment! The 1200 sq ft space features 8' ceilings, large windows and includes a queen bed 'suite' with private bathroom and 'breakfast nook' seating on the far right side, and on the far left in a separate hallway is another bathroom, a bedroom with double bed and private desk area, and a 3rd bedroom features 2 single beds and lots of space! 4th bedroom / office w full size futon. Living room with electric fireplace, dining area, country kitchen, entry seating area and a large, well appointed office ideal for the business traveler. Secure wireless internet. Full cable tv in living room and master suite. TV, CD in all rooms.

Baby crib, strollers, high chair, etc available if requested.

Private entry to the building. Full size elevator, no stairs. Only 4 apartments per floor, so very quiet and private. Superintendent on premises, video security. Next to parks, hiking, river trails and the busiest restaurant 'row' in uptown NYC!

Feels more like a cozy house nestled in the Inwood Hills Park / Washington Heights section of upper NYC. Bedroom view of the Cloisters and Ft. Tryon Park or the bustle of the neighborhood.

Subway entrance is literally 4 minutes walk from the entry, 20 minutes to Time Square - can't get more convenient than that...a second subway is 3 blocks away. Entry to both the west side highway and east side drive are on Dykeman, convenient for taxi or car service travel. 20 minutes from LaGuardia or Kennedy (off hours).

The fully appointed country kitchen offers all appliances, juicer, 'Zero' water filter system, microwave and more. Local butcher and fish market and 24 hr. food store assure you have access to meals, but there are so many trendy restaurants on Dyckman St and Broadway, you can choose a different one every night!

Air conditioning, ceiling fans in all rooms. New linens and comfortable beds for a good night's sleep; it's a bustling neighborhood full of restaurants. The Hudson River is 3 blocks away (the famous La Marina Restaurant is perched there!) An immaculate, comfortable place in the most up-and-coming neighborhood in Manhattan.

About Victoria D'Angelo

Owner of an Eco-development company creating printed textile products from recycled plastic bottles, USA made.

Why Victoria D'Angelo chose Manhattan

This area of Inwood, the northern most point of Manhattan, is called the 'South Beach of NYC'. The location is ideal, and access to Manhattan, Midtown and points south is easy; the subway is on the corner...The unique layout of the apartment offers privacy unlike any other, perfect for visitors. Adjacent to Fort Tryon Park, the Cloisters landmark is visible looking up at the mountain! Lots of trees, lots of street parking and buildings that are not over 7 stories means plenty of sky instead of steel. 3 blocks from the Hudson River, 5 blocks from the East River. Access to airports is easy; LaGuardia is closest, about 30 minutes (off hours). As a business 'center', partners and clients easily meet here. Ideal for a business traveler or tourist.

What makes this apartment unique

An ideal location for a NYC visit and easy access to all areas via the subway just 20 feet from the building! Spacious, comfortable, private, secure. The BnB feeling and unique bedroom layout plus large business office 'center' offer an ideal location. The many sites and local restaurants and an easy walk up to the highest view in NYC are part of the charm of the neighborhood!

NY Oasis

  • 5 of 5

Four of us, two couples, spent a week here. Victoria met us at the apt., welcomed us warmly and answered any questions we had. The apt. is as described and pictured.... roomy, well maintained, comfortable and clean. Having the subway entrance so near the apt. made getting to and from our destinations quick and easy. At the end of the day we could leave the hustle and bustle and come home to our restful retreat. A grocery store across the street was very handy, lots of good restaurants nearby... Grandpa's Pizza is very good. A pleasant walk from the apt. is the Cloisters Museum and gardens. Beautiful, interesting and so peaceful. Having this apt. as "home" for a week played a big part in making this trip so fun-filled and memorable. Thank you, Victoria.

Spacious home right next to the A train

  • 5 of 5

We, a family of 5 (including 2 older people and 1 toddler) stayed at Victoria's apartment for a week. It was very easy to communicate with her, and her instructions for check in were clear and precise. We were shocked by how spacious the apartment was - more then enough space for us, and there was everything we needed in terms of bedding, towels, kitchen appliances. She even provided a high chair and strollers for my 20-month-old. The apartment was bright, clean and tidy. As everyone else has commented, you are just steps away from the subway, and it took us roughly 25-50 minutes to get to the different touristy things we wanted to see downtown, including walking time and transfers. We mainly rented in this area to be close to my sister-in-law, but after a few days I appreciated "coming home" to Inwood after the crazy crowds downtown. In the neighborhood, we frequented the grocery store across the street, the Starbucks at the corner, the deli next to the subway entrance, and Fort Tryon Park, a great place for the toddler to run around. It can get noisy at night but after a few days we stopped noticing. Only have good memories of our trip.

Great place for a family

  • 5 of 5

Victoria's apt. is perfect for a family staying in NYC. Loved that the subway (A train) is steps away from the courtyard. There is a grocery store across the street and a Starbucks on the corner. There are beautiful parks just a few blocks away. The apt. had every convenience you could think of. Even in the hottest part of summer, the room ACs and ceiling fans kept us cool at night. There is a laundry room which uses a card you put money on. The kitchen had all cooking and eating utensils and small appliances. There was noise from the street as it's at a busy intersection but it was normal for NYC and you tune it out pretty quickly. Victoria provided great customer service before, during and after the visit. I highly recommend this apt. for families of 4 or more.

Outstanding Property - Location and apartment amazing

  • 5 of 5

Three of us stayed at this apartment for a week in June. Victoria met us upon arrival and gave us a lovely tour of the apartment and made sure we had everything we needed.

The apartment is amazingly large for a NYC apartment. There is actually 4 bedrooms ( the 4th has a futon couch and is used as an office). The other 3 bedrooms were very roomy and lovely. The beds and linens were so comfortable after long days of sight seeing. The kitchen has everything you need to include a notebook of menus and take out/delivery info in the local area.

The subway is about 25 feet from the apartment courtyard entrance. The courtyard is beautiful and the other tenants were gardening during our stay. You can tell the people that live there really care about their property.

The streets were lively and yes you'll hear some noise but it is nothing like you would hear near Times Square. If fact, it was so relaxing after our days in the noisy, crowded part of the city. My 15 year old daughter watching the view from her bedroom window every night.

Several restaurants on Dyckman Street which is the cross street off Broadway that you can easily walk to in 2 minutes. You can sit outside of these restaurants and people watch. Another amazing restaurant is further down (1/4 mile) right on the Hudson River and extremely good. Starbucks right next to apartment.

The grocery store is right across the street and the veggies, fruit and fresh shrimp and crab looked great. Prices were good also.

We used Uber to return to La Guardia because you won't see many Yellow Taxis around regularly this far uptown. Uber was a breeze to use for return flight.

Don't hesitate to stay at this wonderful apartment. The owner is quick to respond to any requests and so helpful!!

Charming apartment with lots of space and a great neighborhood.

  • 5 of 5

Victoria's VRBO was perfect....clean, charming and artsy, comfortable with lots of space and a well-equipped kitchen (I didn't pack my spices to bring along! You know how many VRBO's can be....salt and pepper. period.) Steps to the subway, which we navigated everyday, useful information/maps at the apt. It is a very quiet and serene apartment complex. The only noise was from Broadway Avenue once we were in the apt....which we loved as it spoke to the energy and bustle that is New York City. The beds were comfortable and we all slept well. Our group was four women from Minnesota in the city for a long weekend of walking, sightseeing, dining and we loved it! (I am always amazed how friendly New York is. Truly. Almost a competition to be helpful.) Victoria was a responsive, helpful owner (via texting). For us, one trip a day into the lower areas of Manhattan and also to Brooklyn were enough and then back to the apartment and surrounding neighborhood. I hope to book again should I come with another group of 4 or more! Thank you, Victoria!

Comfortable, well-appointed apartment

  • 4 of 5

My husband, daughter and I rented this apartment for 11 days in December, to spend Christmas with our new granddaughter. It was perfectly located, as our son lives less than a mile away in Washington Heights. We were very comfortable, and found the apartment to have absolutely everything we needed to cook Christmas Eve dinner for the family, along with many other meals. There is a great grocery store directly across the street, a Starbuck's on the corner, and two lovely places close where we ate several breakfasts: The Park View Cafe, and Darling Coffee. We were a little anxious about the reviews stating the loud street noise, but for some reason, it didn't really bother us--street noise comes with the territory in a big city. Victoria was attentive and solicitous of our needs. We enjoyed our stay tremendously.
