Big time fun for groups of all sizes at this jaw-dropping home near Heavenly Ski Resort in South Lake Tahoe. Bring a friend, and some friends of friends, because this 5,700 square feet of a retreat has something (and space) for everyone. So where to begin? Let’s start with the main house that features 5 bedrooms, a large dining area that provides plenty of elbow room, and a state-of-the-art gourmet kitchen that can never have too many crooks.
We of course meant “cooks.” But the home’s namesake, Black Bart, was a gentlemanly outlaw who left behind poetry at the scene of his robberies. And you might be inspired to write a verse or two yourself once you experience the scenic view of the Sierra Mountains from the hot tub on the deck. Just promise not to take anything.
Looking for a little more action? Well, of course the casinos are in close vicinity as is the skiing or hiking. But you may just want to take the crew down to the game room and try your hand at billiards, foosball or ping pong. The kids will just love the nooks and crannies of the walk-in closets for a little hide and seek. And if just want to spread out, head over to the guest house that features another two bedrooms as well a gym in the heated garage.
Whatever your activity or celebration of choice is with the family and friends you bring, when it comes to get-togethers, you’ll find Black Bart House is a steal.
This home is pet friendly with prior approval and accompanying pet fee.

The house was everything as described, very spacious, beautiful kitchen, large driveway for parking, I would've gave it 5 stars, but I only gave it 4 stars because the stove didn't come on for us, I don't know if it was broke or we just didn't know what we were doing, besides that it was a very nice, clean, comfortable house, and guest house. I loved the location of this property also, it was very close to the stores, casinos, and heavenly ski resort. My family can't wait to come back next year, this will be our go to location for South Lake Tahoe every year. I highly recommend the Black Bart House.
The home was beautiful and worked great for our large group! The kitchen was beautiful and very well equipped with high end appliances, plenty of plates and utensils! All the beds were very comfortable and had plenty of extra pillows and blankets! Each floor has it own individual thermostat which was awesome! It has a very convenient location, out of the way enough but a short drive the store. Its on a very quiet street with no rear neighbors! All the bathrooms are beautiful and all had jetted tubs which was so relaxing! The home looks to have been renovated recently and the pictures do not do it justice! Will definatley stay again! the only negative id give it was there was a little trash of the property from a previous group, but i imagine with all the snow its hard to get everything picked up!
This is my second time staying at the place in the past 10 years. Its a great property, they need to update the pictures because all of the furniture has changed and rooms have been painted. I will say that I wish this place had a better living room, everyone seems to get together around the kitchen and the tv area is small, its sits 3 people. There's a large couch upstairs for more tv viewing pleasure but it would have been nicer if that was downstairs.
We stayed at the Black Bart House for my son's 50 birthday. We had many family members attend and had a wonderful time. The house is very spacious and has many amenities. The house is close to the casinos and several stores around for your convenience. There is plenty of off street parking. I'm glad we chose this property for our stay.
Booking was very easy and the location is great in South Lake Tahoe. Pulled up and was very impressed by the property, beautiful cabin with a nice wooded view and lots of parking for 5 cars. Cabin has a great entertaining area upstairs and a second media/game room downstairs with pool table and access to the hot tub (which worked perfectly!). Rooms were nice and beds were comfy, however only complaint was some of the bed pillows didn't have pillow cases, you'd think a property of this quality and the price per night, small things like pillow cases on the pillows would be a given. Kitchen was big and great if you're cooking for a large group. Would definitely stay here again if we are back in the Tahoe area.
Cleanliness and maintenance were lacking. Had to call management to send someone over to clean the home, as it did not appear to have been cleaned prior to our arrival. Overall lack of ownership shows, worn down items throughout the property, some of which will cause a serious health and safety issue if not taken care of.
For the price paid we would have expected something much more upscale, as the photos tend to suggest. Unfortunately, this appears to be more of a "lipstick on a pig" situation, where a very good photographer gave the perception of something that simply does not exist.
