Welcome to our amazing townhouse right in the heart of South Philadelphia! Located in a family-friendly neighborhood, this home is also a short distance away from everything this beautiful city has to offer. Our home is around the corner from Pat's & Geno's Cheesesteaks - both Philly insitutions - two blocks away from a dog park and playground, cafés, the Acme supermarket and drugstores, some of Philadelphia's hottest restaurants, bars and shopping, five blocks to the subway and the historic Italian Market, and a twenty minute walk to the Liberty Bell, Rittenhouse Square, Washington Square Park, Independence Hall, 13th street's Restaurant Row, and more! The location is unbeatable, yet inside you will simply feel at home in this historic, cozy, and beautiful brownstone.
Walk into our home's main floor, and you'll find a deliciously comfortable sofa and armchair in front of the beautifully refurbished historic mantle-piece original to the home; curl up and watch the flat screen television,or sit down for a family meal at the extendable dining table that can seat 6-10 guests comfortably - perfect for having the whole family sit together for meals after a day of sightseeing and exploring our wonderful city.
As you walk towards the back of the house, you will find the totally gorgeous, brand new kitchen, open to the living area to make hanging out on the main floor easy and fun. Take a seat at the counter, enjoy complimentary wine from the bar cart, or get your gourmet on in the gorgeous, granite-counter-topped wonderland we call the hearth of the home. Past the kitchen is a patio facing a private alley, and there is also a brand new powder room on this floor.
Head on up to the second floor where you'll find three bedrooms and a bath. The first bedroom features historic stained glass doors, and is set up as an office with a sofa bed that comfortably sleeps two (truly - this isn't a dinky little futon, it's deliciously comfortable!). This room has its own closet and doors, so it is a completely functional bedroom if you want to stay there, or else you may use it as a second living room/office. The second bedroom boasts a queen bed, your own closet, and a bench for your suitcase. The third bedroom is light, sunny, and peaceful, with a full dresser, a queen size bed, and a big closet for your unpacking pleasure. The rooms have been decorated to be comfortable, functional, and have original charm and personality. All linens and towels are new and luxurious, so you can feel like you're in a fancy hotel while enjoying the benefits of staying in a loved, comfortable home! The bathroom on this floor is completely renovated and fresh, with a shower and bathtub. We also make sure our pantry and bathrooms are fully stocked, so no need to worry about bringing little things like toothpaste, soap, or shampoo.
Wait until you reach the top floor - it's our piece de resistance! The master suite has a delicious king-size bed, an enormous walk-in closet, and a bathroom that could house a small village (seriously, it's huge!) with a brand new vanity, floor, and shower. At the top of the steps before entering the master suite you'll find a gigantic and gorgeous roof deck, where you can enjoy the sunshine and views of South Philadelphia.

We love this house very much, and have put a lot of heart and soul into making it beautiful, unique, and warm. We know you will enjoy the care that has been put into keeping this beautiful 4 bedroom home clean, comfortable, and convenient. Most of our neighbors are kind, Philadelphia is our beloved chosen city, and we know you will enjoy staying here as much as we enjoy living here!
Please Note: We require a phone call to determine whether or not our home is a good fit for you in your travels, and we will coordinate a time to speak with you at our and your earliest convenience. Our preference is to host families and small companies and we require that the person who makes the booking stay throughout the reservation period.
We are a young couple living in Center City Philadelphia after falling in love with the city, uprooting ourselves, and moving here from New York City, where we both grew up. We are former teachers who are now small business owners. We love to travel and explore, and are part of this community in order to make that dream possible! We are thoughtful, detail-oriented, caring people, and we know you will feel comfortable as soon as you step into our property.
It's in he heart of Passyunk Square, a burgeoning neighborhood in South Philly and has access to great food, nightlife, and parks.
This property was perfect, exactly what we were looking for! My family was able to stay here comfortably while in town for my wedding, not too far from everything in center city. The location is awesome right next to the acme (grocery store), and everything else that the Passyunk area has to offer. This property was beautiful and cozy, a real home away from home!
Just wanted to let you all know our stay could not have gone better! The spacious kitchen was perfect for my wife to be able to make, assemble, and decorate her sister's wedding cake. Everyone in our family was extremely satisfied with their beds, the home's features, and the cool comfortable house on such a hot week in Philly. The location was beyond perfect, and we took full advantage of the varied food, taverns, parks, and proximity to shopping the house provided. Uber and Lyft were able to easily find us when we needed to travel.
Also, because the house was so neat and nicely updated, my sister-in-law actually used the master suite to get ready for her wedding and take some photos in her dress on the awesome rooftop deck.
The property was well suited for our needs. Short walk to good food, House was clean.
We LOVED this rental and the neighborhood!! My family stayed here during our family reunion in Philly. We loved how walkable the neighborhood was. We would walk the kids up to the park and let them run off some energy each day. We also walked over to Passyunk and did some shopping. And of course we loved having Pat and Geno's so close too. The shower curtain fell and Kevin came and fixed it right away AND brought pastries! Such a nice guy!! We will rent again!! HIGHLY recommend this rental!
We rented this South Philly home to attend Drexel graduation with three family units. The home was very spacious and pictures accurately reflect the quality and condition. The rooms were bright and light and the temperature was very comfortable on the first two floors although there were two very hot days. The 3rd floor took the sun but was comfortable with a fan. We had plenty of space to spread out. We cooked a big family meal and had everything we needed. The owner was very responsive when we had a minor problem and came over right away. There are many restaurants and pubs close by and Passyunk East is a great street for window shopping. We enjoyed the Chhaya for breakfast and had a nice dinner at the Devils' Den both a short walk from this home. There is also a CVS and an Acme grocery a block away. Geno's and Pat's and the Italian Markets are also an easy walk. All in all we found convenience and comfort in a charming neighborhood. If you aren't used to Philadelphia, the neighborhood might seem a little rough or run down but the whole city is a little worn around the edges. I applaud Kevin and his wife for providing the Home Away experience we have found in many cities in the heart of South Philly!
We had a mini-reunion with 4 couples. It was perfect. Parking was street parking and we luckily had no problems. There was no wine or champagne to greet us but we had plenty of our own. The location was walking distance from Philly cheesesteaks and only about 1-1/2 miles from the Liberty Bell. Great restaurants nearby - including the Triangle tavern. The kitchen was well stocked and easy to use. It's really just 3 bedrooms. The 4th bedroom is a pull out futon not great for aging bodies. Will consider returning if Philly is a future destination.
