Roger and Diane have loved visiting Playa del Carmen for many years. Having always stayed within a block of the main park/public square, there was no doubt THIS was the perfect spot when the decision was made to buy their own condo. SUPER close to everything, yet nice and QUIET, compared to 5th Avenue or near the clubs by the beach. All that 'action' is but a short stroll away, but you don't need to sleep there. Aside from the quiet and safety of this incredible location, one of the main reasons Roger and Diane bought this PAPAYA condo was the wonderful builder/property management team. Sabatico has several projects in Playa del Carmen, and they incorporate the best design and lifestyle ideas into their buildings. Their office just happens to be right across the street from the PAPAYAplus building, in the unlikely event your condo requires attention. Get used to hearing 'Yes, of course' in English or Spanish. Cecilia, Robert, Fady and Carlos have shown Roger and Diane the meaning of 'intensive care'. And, the 24 hr concierge/caretaker keeps the place sparkling. They are much more than managers, they are friends.

The owners have left out no details in appointing this condo. Aside from all kitchenware and utensils, there is a small supply of coffee, sweetener, dish and laundry detergent, paper products, to get you through your arrival. Walmart and Oxxo convenience stores are right around the corner. The condo has a whole-building water softener and an under-sink drinking water purification system, convenient especially for washing produce. Bottled water is also provided at no charge, delivered automatically by the concierge when you leave an empty jug outside your door.

Wonderful Stay in Playa

We enjoyed our stay at Papaya Plus. It was clean, well located (only five or so minutes from the beach), and with all of the amenities that we needed. Having a washer and dryer allowed us to do laundry during our trip. Refillable bottled water was also provided, so we did not have to buy disposable bottles. We just refilled our water bottles each day. There was also a printer, which was a nice touch, allowing us to print our boarding passes.

The apartment was also near the ADO terminal which was convenient for getting to and from the airport and surrounding areas such as Tulum and Valladolid.

On out next trip, we would definitely stay here again.

Property was well maintained & comfortable & even more impressive than online pictures!

Our family enjoyed the property which is only a few blocks from the beach & 5th Avenue where fantastic restaurants line your walk. Any question was promptly answered by the owners or Cecilia. Each day brought new adventures as Playa Del Carmen had amazing activities for our teenagers & us. If you have any safety worries: don't! Playa Del Carmen is completely safe.

Truly a Home Away from Home

Roger and Diane's condo is absolutely wonderful and highly recommended. From the moment we arrived and were greeted by the wonderful Cecilia (who was incredibly helpful), until the moment we had to reluctantly leave, we were impressed. The location is terrific, so close to the Walmart and Mega stores for groceries, a quick walk to the colectivo stand for travel outside of Playa, not far from the ferry terminal if you want to go to Cozumel for a day, and of course, a very quick walk to the fabulous Agenda Quinta for restaurants and shopping. Really, there is no need for a car, although if you want to have one, there is indoor parking available. The condo itself is exceptionally comfortable, furnished and equipped to a very high standard with everything you could want for a vacation stay. And the decor is something else again. It is clear that it has been decorated and maintained with love. The beds and other furnishings were high quality and comfortable - there is nothing better than a great night's sleep when you are on vacation. The kitchen is fully equipped, with stainless steel appliances including a gas stove, lots of dishes and glasses, and even a blender for those perfect Margaritas. There were basic necessities enough to keep us for the first few days, so that all we had to worry about when first arriving was food. And the rooftop deck with its pool and hot tub was so welcome at the end of a long hot day, with the added bonus of a lovely view. We were fortunate enough to visit during Carnaval, which meant sitting on the balcony every night enjoying the concerts in the municipal square a short block away (and going down to join the crowds when we needed to feel more a part of the festivities.) This was our first time staying in Playa del Carmen and we could not have picked a better place to stay. We will definitely be back and hopefully, we will be lucky enough to stay once again in this amazing home away from home.

Feeling At Home

This condo made for a stress-free trip for us! It lacked nothing for our family of 4. The walkability to shops, groceries, endless restaurants and the beach was fantastic. Having a rental car, we appreciated the direct and easy access to the highway to get to Cancun, Tulum, and major attractions. We'll miss the comfortable feeling of being at home both in the condo and in the friendly hub of activity in Playa. We would recommend this condo in a heartbeat. Thanks Roger and Diane!

Perfectly amazing!

This location is so perfect it's truly amazing. Not very far to anything you need that the condo doesn't already have. Very very well appointed all the way from the top to the bottom and while the world goes very busy outside it's quiet and peaceful inside. The view is just perfect a little bit of everything. Cecilia is super helpful. I cannot say enough good things about it. Absolutely hope to get to return some day. Thank you, Roger and Diane, for being such gracious owners and sharing your wonderful getaway with us.
