Overview

About the property

2 bedroom, 1 bath cabin in the woods

The cabin is tucked away in a quiet little development between the historic town of Jim Thorpe and Big Boulder ski resort. Surrounded by lush rhododendron on a wooded lot, the property offers a sense of seclusion without sacrificing the security that comes with being in a community. It is a quiet and peaceful place to relax and enjoy nature.

The interior of the house is newly renovated. The main living area consists of a combined living room and kitchen with a vaulted ceiling open to a 2nd floor loft. The kitchen is well equipped, the living room is comfortable and has a cozy gas fireplace. The loft is a family room with cable TV, DVD player, books, and board games.

Outside you can relax on the deck or hang out at the fire pit. There is a gas grille and table with chairs for outside dining.

There is no shortage of things to do in the Poconos. Below is a list of some area attractions.

- Close to the quaint historic town of Jim Thorpe for shopping, dining, entertainment, historic tours, and scenic train ride.

- Hiking and biking trails at Hickory Run State park (home of Boulder Field), and Lehigh Gorge State Park (Glen Onoko Falls and Lehigh Gorge trail).

- Skiing at nearby Jack Frost/Big Boulder

- White water rafting and paintball at Pocono Whitewater

- concerts at Penns Peak concert venue

- Pocono Raceway

- Beltsville Lake

There are a number of area restaurants/taverns serving everything from pub food to fine dining.

Beautiful, secluded and perfect for a relaxing getaway!

  • 5 of 5

My husband, 3 year old son and 9 year old nephew stayed for 4 nights and had a blast! The house is perfectly sized for a small group. Also very well equipped if anything should fall off of your shopping list! The community is quiet and each house feels very secluded. The small beach and playground are perfect for a quick trip out with the little ones.

The location can't be beat. 25 mins to Jim Thorpe and Mauch Chunk Lake, 25 minutes to the indoor water park at Split Rock Resort. Plenty of restaurants nearby and water sports rentals right up the street.

We really loved it and plan on booking again next summer!

Beautiful little cabin nestled in the woods!

  • 5 of 5

Very clean, well maintained, and quite charming. The development was also beautiful with gorgeous nature scenery. We really enjoyed our stay here. Wish there were walking trails and lake or stream close enough by foot from the house, but you can find those within driving distance. Otherwise a very cozy stay and the owners were so kind, responsive, and welcoming! Highly recommend

Thank you so much for allowing us to stay in your wonderful cabin! It was so nice to have a relaxing weekend away from the hustle and bustle of city life. The cabin was so cozy, the grill and fire pit were fantastic, and the location is unbeatable. We will definitely try to stay here again when we come back up!
