About the property

2 bedroom, 1 bath cabin in the woods

The cabin is tucked away in a quiet little development between the historic town of Jim Thorpe and Big Boulder ski resort. Surrounded by lush rhododendron on a wooded lot, the property offers a sense of seclusion without sacrificing the security that comes with being in a community. It is a quiet and peaceful place to relax and enjoy nature.

The interior of the house is newly renovated. The main living area consists of a combined living room and kitchen with a vaulted ceiling open to a 2nd floor loft. The kitchen is well equipped, the living room is comfortable and has a cozy gas fireplace. The loft is a family room with cable TV, DVD player, books, and board games.

Outside you can relax on the deck or hang out at the fire pit. There is a gas grille and table with chairs for outside dining.

There is no shortage of things to do in the Poconos. Below is a list of some area attractions.

- Close to the quaint historic town of Jim Thorpe for shopping, dining, entertainment, historic tours, and scenic train ride.

- Hiking and biking trails at Hickory Run State park (home of Boulder Field), and Lehigh Gorge State Park (Glen Onoko Falls and Lehigh Gorge trail).

- Skiing at nearby Jack Frost/Big Boulder

- White water rafting and paintball at Pocono Whitewater

- concerts at Penns Peak concert venue

- Pocono Raceway

- Beltsville Lake

There are a number of area restaurants/taverns serving everything from pub food to fine dining.

Beautiful Fall Foliage Getaway

  • 5 of 5

The cabin was very clean and well maintained, also had a nice size yard and fire pit ready to use. The kitchen was considerably stocked. The location was easy to find, and close to Jim Thorpe. Enjoyed biking the Lehigh Gorge and dinner in Jim Thorpe. Would highly recommend this property.

Loved this little cabin! Everything about it was perfect for our weekend visit to Jim Thorpe. The cabin was cozy and all the little details that make a stay enjoyable were provided. We loved the gas fireplace & the well stocked kitchen. We will be back to visit again soon!

Clean, quiet and comfortable - Perfect!

  • 5 of 5

Perfect for a getaway, very clean and quiet. Has everything you need and then some. Decor is very tasteful. I was very impressed with how well stocked the kitchen etc. is. Lovely little treat on arrival, jam and zucchini bread. Owners are very quick to respond if you have questions. Jim Thorpe and amenities are not too far away. We did the White Water Rafting and really enjoyed it. Also got to see 2 deer on the driveway in the morning and some more on the roads into the estate. I would not hesitate to go back, lovely place.

Clean, quiet, comfortable

  • 5 of 5

The house was nice. Well appointed kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals. Loft space was nice and the house was quiet, not only due to location also because it is well built. Accidentally set off car alarm and didn't realize it was my car because we could barely hear it only 30 feet away.

The AC worked well to cool the home and combined with the shade the house was never too hot.

Jim Thorpe, where you will find food, restaurants, and other entertainment was about a 20 min drive. There is a dollar general about 10 min away for bare necessities.

The beach was very quiet but nice. Not a huge swimming area but plenty of mud and sand for our toddler to play in.

We did head to sand spring lake in Hickory Run state park and it had a nicer beach but that was an extra 20 min.

Tom was very responsive and a pleasure to work with. Would rent again if we ever return to the area.
