Signal Hill

The condo is located in the heart of downtown St. John's. One can walk 5 minutes to the business offices of Water Street or 6 minutes to the famous George Street Entertainment area. Throughout this area, there are more than 60 restaurants and eateries. Raymonds was just voted the best restaurant in Canada!

The convention center is a 7 minute walk from the Condo. The Rooms (Museum) is only 3 minutes away. The Basilica, the Anglican Cathedral, and Bannerman Park is only a 2 minute walk. Government House and the Colonial Building is only 3 minutes away. Moo Moo's Ice cream is only 1 minute away. Sobey's supermarket and the liquor store is a 6 minute walk North. For the finest meats, Halliday's meat market is only a 2 minuter walk. For the freshest fish and seafood, the Fish Depot is about a 5 minute walk. The base of Signal Hill (A National Historic Park) is 7 minutes away. (Also a starting point of the East Coast Trail.) Halfway up the hill is the Johnson Geo Center, the only one of it's kind in North America. The Rennie's Mill River trail is about a 7 minute walk from the Condo. At the bottom is Quidi Vidi Lake, a well used walking trail itself. At the top is the Fluvarium, a year round attraction for young and old alike.

Other nearby attractions within walking distance are, the Harbour Front Park, the War Memorial, City Hall, Newman's Wine Vault, Jelly Bean Row, the Masonic Temple (now houses the Spirit of Newfoundland), The LSPU Hall (Theater), The Railway Museum, and the Harbour front.

The tourist Information Center is on Water Street.

If you want to get out of town, the highway starts at Mile One Stadium, a 6 minute walk from the condo. (A 1 minute drive). Other nearby attractions that are a short drive are: Fort Amherst, Cape Spear, Quidi Vidi fishing village, and many segments of the East Coast Trail.
