This newly remodeled two bedroom home conveniently located in Denver is a showcase for fine rustic craftsmanship. The interior has been completely redone with classic Colorado aspen and blue pine. Beautiful aspen logs frame new windows and hardwood doors. Hardwood floors and oriental rugs stand under a fine collection of antiques and handcrafted, locally built aspen log furniture in every room! Authentic mountain art and photography don the walls and designer touches make this home a five-star experience.

It will be easy to enjoy the charming landscaping or take time to relax in the comfortable log living room. This unit has all the amenities of home, including washer and dryer, dishwasher, super shower pressure, flat panel TV's, and a furnished patio with a gas grill.

All the beds feature plush new mattresses. Designer comforters and sheets are sure to make your stay warm and comfortable. The master bedroom features an Olympic Queen size bed (6' wider than a traditional Queen). The second bedroom is equipped with a Twin XL over a Queen Bunk Bed.

Conveniently located three blocks from the light rail, you will be able to access all Denver has to offer by commuter train. If you prefer to drive, you will be only minutes from I-25, 285, or Colorado Blvd. This home is less than 10 minutes from Downtown Denver, Denver Tech Center, Swedish Hospital, Craig Hospital, and Denver University.

About jon weekley

Long time Denver resident Jon Weekley is an avid mountaineer and snowboarder. He is also owner of Medicine Wolf Log Furniture where he and a full time staff create charming rustic furniture from pine, aspen and exotic woods. This lodge home is his project, created to reflect his love of the mountains and the comfort and style of Colorado living. When Jon is not building furniture he can be found enjoying local hangouts like Eldorado Canyon State Park or Rocky Mountain National Park.

This is our second time to stay at Jon's home and we love it. It is perfect for us, the location is perfect in being close to the family. The house fits perfect for the two of us-so comfortable. We love having a full kitchen. A comfortable bed, nice sheets and towels. This is becoming our home away from home.

Wonderful stay in Denver

First, the house is every bit as charming in person as it looks in the pictures! It is spotlessly clean, comfortable, and has everything you need to make yourself at home. We grilled, hung out on the patio, watched movies and just really enjoyed this home away from home. Jon was very helpful and got right back to me when I had questions. The area is great also. The neighborhood is is nice and quiet and very convenient to everything there is to do in Denver. We brought our bikes and went biking on the canal trail which is about a block away from the house. For people with young children, the elementary school across the street has an awesome playground. We enjoyed our stay so much we are looking at spending another week here next summer. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!

Jon was very accommodating and an excellent host. The interior furnishings of his home were very comfortable, especially the beds, and we appreciate his attention to details. The landscaping could use some attention, but we never spent anytime utilizing the outside around his home. Would definitely stay there again. Thanks Jon.

Excellent location and clean, comfortable, well-maintained home with hand-crafted furnishings

We are natives of Denver and needed to move out of our home for a month during repairs. We were surprised to find how very convenient this lovely home is, about a 10 minute walk to the light rail. Access to I-25, the main highway through Denver, is also very close by. We also discovered it was a five minute walk to the Highline Canal, one of the best walking trails in Denver. Also, it is a 4 minute drive to the library, grocery store (including Sprouts, one of the best places to buy veggies and fruit). Compared to our urban neighborhood in Denver, this neighborhood was very quiet and peaceful. But the best thing about this location is the interior. It is a little Western getaway, with hand-crafted furnishings. wainscoting and trim. We found everything we needed and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. While the home was lovely, Jon was superb as a host. He was helpful, responsive and accommodating. We hope to return again, even though we live here!
