This interior home doesn't feel too far from the beach. The community beach access is at the end of the street, just two houses away, and the rooftop deck provides a stunning 360 degree view of Topsail Island (from the beach to the sound, and everything in between!). Comfortable, bright, and perfect for large groups. Lounge on the covered front porch and get the "Topsail Feeling" for a most relaxing vacation, or hang out on the covered back deck for a more private feeling (brush and landscaping provide shade and privacy for back area).
Miss Jo-Ann's offers 4 bedrroms, 2 full bathrooms, and 2 half bathrooms. Bed sizes include 2 Kings, a Queen and 2 sets of Bunk Beds (4 Twins). Pillows, spreads, and blankets are provided. Linens are NOT provided, but are available for rental.
This property is located at 2 Elizabeth Street in the Pleasant Cove community in Surf City.
NO SMOKING permitted inside the property or on its decks. NO PETS permitted inside the property.
This property requires a 7-night Saturday-to-Saturday stay during our Maritime, Bungalow, and Buccaneer seasons. A 3-night minimum stay is required during our Castaway season.
Family vacation...my brother and I combined our funds and our families to spend a week at the beach. We were excited about the house just from the photos, but when we got there it was even better than we thought. The biggest selling point, especially for my brother, was the rooftop deck. And the photos just can't do it justice. We spent time up there almost every night. Peaceful with a wonderful ocean breeze. The house had plenty of room for everyone (7 of us this trip, 3 adults and 4 kids aged 16, 16, 14 and 12). Close to the beach (less than a 5 minute walk). It advertised an outdoor shower (which is enclosed) with both hot and cold water but we also found it has a second outdoor shower head for rinsing off as well. Great for when we just walked on the beach and did not need to rinse our entire body, just our feet and shoes. The neighborhood was quiet. Truth? We did almost nothing all week and it was great! We do have family in Jacksonville and made 2 trips over to visit but otherwise...we spent the entire week just relaxing. There are at least 3 grocery stores within a 10-15 minute drive. There were several restaurants nearby too but this time we simply chose to stay in for meals, and having a well-equipped kitchen obviously made that easy. It rained a couple days, but the covered porches were great for sitting outside and listening to the rain and watching the storms roll through.
It all made for a peaceful week and nobody wanted to leave. We do plan to return next summer and the plan is to get into this house again. A+!
