Welcome to East End Eden III, our one bedroom, two bath luxury beachfront condominium just steps from the beach at the Elysian Beach Resort on secluded Cowpet Bay. See Our Property Website Link Below for rate details and more information. One of only two true one-bedroom condos on Cowpet Bay available for rent (the other is our East End Eden I condo/VRBO #318468/HomeAway #332486), the condo was completely remodeled and updated in December 2014. The unit has a fully equipped kitchen and two full baths. Whether you're looking for a romantic getaway, a vacation with friends, or a family vacation with 1-2 children, the condo has everything you need for that special trip. The condo comfortably accommodates 2-4 guests. Located less than 25 yards from the resort pool and white sand beach on Cowpet Bay, the condo’s two private balconies offer spectacular views of the turquoise waters of the Caribbean. The bedroom has a king-size bed with Tempur-pedic mattress, full bath with shower, a private balcony, 42-inch flat screen LED TV and DVD player. The living room has a queen-size Murphy bed with a comfortable mattress, a private balcony, 50-inch flat screen LED TV, DVD player and a stereo with blue-tooth. There is a second full bath with shower off the kitchen and a laundry closet with full size washer and dryer.
As our guests, you have access to all of the amenities at the Elysian including the pool with its grotto, waterfall and hot tub, tennis court, and water sport rental shack. There is an onsite gym with a daily or weekly fee. There is wonderful snorkeling on the reef immediately offshore in Cowpet Bay. We have several sets of snorkeling equipment in various sizes for our guests to use. Other sets may be rented at the Elysian beach shack. Lounge chairs are provided at no charge on the palm-lined beach, which also has ample shade for those who prefer it. Beach towels are also provided at no charge from the Elysian Beach Resort office. There are two restaurants on the resort property. Sangria's Beachside Bistro offers a more casual menu. The Caribbean Fish Market offers a more upscale dining experience. Additionally, there is a bar next to the pool and adjacent to the beach.
We live in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. We first visited St. Thomas in March 2007 and immediately fell in love with the Island. After two more trips, all of which were spent at the Elysian in a colleague's condo, we decided we needed our own place. We purchased a 2 bedroom unit in 2009 (VRBO # 231249/HomeAway #241811) and we had so much fun meeting new guests (if only by phone or email) and helping them have a great Caribbean vacation, that we decided to buy a one bedroom unit in 2010 (VRBO # 318468/HomeAway 332486). We purchased the third unit in September of 2014 and immediately and completely remodeled it. Eventually we intend to spend large portions of our retirement years in our condos, but for now we enjoy frequent vacations there and helping create memorable vacations for our guests.
Sue and Bruce Davis purchased this condo in 2014
From the moment we set foot on Cowpet Bay Beach we could feel the tensions leave us and we knew that this was the place we wanted to own a vacation home. St. Thomas is a US territory and easily accessible from the East Coast and most of the mainland US. The seclusion of Cowpet Bay and the gentle waves make it ideal for relaxing and recharging! But if you want a go-go vacation there are so many great beaches on St. Thomas and nearby St. John and the variety of restaurants on St. Thomas is amazing for an island that is only about 38 square miles. In short, we found our East End Eden so we decided to buy a condo or three!
We fell in love with Cowpet Bay because it is a quiet beach that does not attract the noisy cruise ship crowds that some other beaches do. The beach immediately relaxes you (together with an adult beverage or two from the beachside/poolside bar). The ample supply of beach chairs and the shade provided by the palm and sea grape trees make it the perfect place to unwind, relax, read a book and take a seaside nap!
The owners are fantastic. The condo was perfect - really well updated, applicances great, coolers, pool toys, balconies, views, closeness to the pool and restaurant. Awesome. You will not go wrong with this resort and these owners. This is our 7th trip to the usvi. This is the place to stay. If you use the Murphy bed it is great and literally just like another double bed. Our 13 year old found friends at the resort and plenty to do. Closeness to Red Hook and the St. John ferry can not be beat. Davis' are first class all the way! Thanks guys!
The condo was fantastic! Very nicely furnished. Gorgeous view. Really close to Red Hook with lots of restaurants. The information that the owners send you before your stay is packed full of great information to help you have a wonderful vacation. Hope to return one day!!!
Highly Recommend. Great Vacation at a nice condo with good service from the owners.
Sue and Bruce have truly created a home away from home for their guests at East Eden III! From the kitchen with every appliance you could need to whip up a quick meal, to the beach gear - the only thing you need to bring is sunscreen, a bathing suit, shorts and a t-shirt! The Elysian Beach resort has two restaurants, a beach bar, a pool, fun water sport rentals, beach towels and chairs. There's no need to leave if you end up taking a cab to the resort for a long weekend. If you're staying a while, rent a car and you can take fun day trips to the surrounding beaches, to the ferry dock for trips to St. John and the BVIs, and to Red Hook for fun restaurants and bars. Sue and Bruce will provide you with a guide for fun activities, places to shop, and how to navigate the St. Thomas airport!
The condo is perfect for a couple, or a family with one or two small children who would enjoy the queen size Murphy bed in the living area. It's impeccably clean, recently updated and upgraded, and features not one, but two balcony/patios for enjoying morning coffee or evening cocktails. There are also two full bathrooms, which you would not have if staying at a hotel!
The location of this condo cannot be beat. It's only on the second floor, which makes the walk upstairs with your luggage, as well as the short walk to the pool and beach so easy! We did not dine at the Caribbean Fish Market, but we did enjoy Sangria's for dinner one night, and loved the hamburgers and hot dogs grilled up at the Pool Bar, to accompany bartender David's delicious Caribbean cocktails. You can also easily walk to the Ritz from Elysian, which features several other restaurants for a fun night out.
Thank you Sue and Bruce for creating such a wonderful piece of paradise, and for sharing it with us!
Condo has been upgraded with all of the amenities you need. It was especially nice to have snorkel and beach gear. Just steps away from the pool bar and then onto the relaxing Cowpet Bay. East End is a great place to stay as being close to a lot of beaches and very close to Redhook.
Excellent location, nice views from balconies, nice restaurants in the resort.... Water, water everywhere... We lived it
St. Thomas is only 38 square miles but it has a wealth of beautiful beaches and great restaurants all of which are easily accessible by car. We recommend that our guests rent a car (Hertz, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Thrifty all have operations at or adjacent to the airport) to fully enjoy all the island has to offer. With the exception of Hertz cars, you can take your vehicle to nearby St. John on the car ferry (20 minute trip) and explore St. John, two-thirds of which is a National Park.
The condo is located on the east end of the island (thus the name 'East End Eden'), less than two miles from the town of Red Hook. Red Hook has a lot of restaurants, shops and a world-class marina where you can charter a fishing trip or sailing excursion. The people ferry and the car ferry also depart for St, John, USVI from Red Hook, as well as the passenger ferry to several of the British Virgin Islands.
