The park, the views, Chinatown, Latin & Chinese street food, affordable shopping, close enough to Manhattan but a sense of getting away from the fray to a real Brooklyn neighborhood.

Summer in Brooklyn 2019
Stayed in Elise’s apartment for a month with my daughter. We had a wonderful stay. Beautiful place, so clean and comfortable. Only 2 blocks to the subway station. The views of Manhattan from the park are amazing. Would definitely recommend. Thanks for everything Elise!
You and your daughter were such lovely guests. And I am grateful for the care that you gave to the apartment. So happy you loved it here. Happy homecoming. NYC misses you!
If I could give this apartment 10 stars I would!
We had a wonderful stay. The apartment was beautifully clean. There were so many sweet details, and everything we needed was provided! There was even cream for coffee! We felt so at home and welcomed. The neighborhood felt very safe, even for us who aren’t used to the city. The apartment was bright and cozy. Elise was incredibly helpful and kind, even though we never met in person, her kindness came shining through. It was fairly easy navigating the subway and the neighborhood was a lovely mix of families.
We would love to stay there again and recommend it highly!!!
Thank you, D'Arcy. This is a RAVE review! I am so happy that it suited your needs. I hope that we will have the opportunity to meet next time!
Sweet and Caring Hostess
This is a beautiful place. My granddaughter wanted to have it for her home but it was a little too big for our suitcase. Elise is delightful and caring and goes out of her way to accommodate all the possible needs of a stay in New York. The location is excellent and close to subways, buses etc. Easy access to Manhattan. We will stay her again for our annual visit to NY!
I think of you and your family often and hope you are enjoying your summer. Thank you for your kind words. Warmest Regards, Elise
Elise is by far one of the most gracious and accommodating hostesses we have ever encountered. We've stayed in numerous VRBO properties, and hers was exactly as advertised and beyond.
Highly recommend this quiet, quaint apartment for a comfortable stay in Sunset Park with easy access to subway, shopping and restaurants.
Thank you both for a wonderful review and for being such lovely guests!
Such a cute place!
This basement apartment was so cute! Super clean, updated and nicely decorated (loved the art work!) and perfect for our family getaway. Check in/out was easy. On a quiet street in a nice Brooklyn neighborhood close to a park with views of the city skyline. Our bed was comfy and our son, who slept on the futon in the living room, said it was very comfy too.! Elise had a soft mattress cover to add on top. Thoughtful touches like English muffins and coffee supplies were great! Definitely would reserve again.
Thank you, Kara. Hope you can stay again!
Excellent location, very comfortable place, Elise was exceptionally helpful.
Very comfortable for my grandson and I. No downsides at all. We enjoyed spectacular views
of Manhattan skyline every night from Sunset Park, 1 and 1/2 blocks away. Transit access was excellent.
Thank you, Mike. I am so happy that your stay was as good as it was and thanks again for the tour tip!
A scenic and multicultural neighborhood in the heart of Brooklyn, Sunset Park is located at one of the highest points where views of Manhattan, the Statue of Liberty and New Jersey are spectacular! Between Bay Ridge/Coney Island and Park Slope/DUMBO/Brooklyn Heights, visitors are central to hip Brooklyn as well as a short subway ride to The City. Experience food from Mexico, the Dominican Republic and China in this diverse area located one block from Sunset Park where views of the setting sun make it a respite from daily activity. Enjoy a picnic, swim, kick a soccer ball around or watch a volley ball match. Through the park at 36th street is the express train which takes you to Manhattan in 2 stops.
