Quiet hide-away in heaven!

  • 4 of 5

This cottage is accurately represented w/the site's photos. The cottage is comfortable, with a well stocked kitchen and bathroom. The deck overlooking a natural area is a wonderful, restful place to relax, read a book and just absorb nature. Cindy met us as we arrived, and answered our questions, and even offered lattice panels to help secure the deck, so that our pups could come and go outside without wandering off.

The cottage, though very comfortable, is not out of house beautiful, however - furnishings are on the funky side - rather adds to its uniqueness. It was clean and well maintained.

We did truly miss TV (no AM news!) and Internet - of course, one can always walk the 10 minutes to town and use public Internet.

All in all, staying here was a plus, and we would certainly consider coming back to the same place.

Cannon Beach is a wonderful, wonderful place to visit - don't miss Evo (make reservations long in advance); the shops are terrific (if you like fabrics, don't miss Center Diamond), and be sure that you spend time at Indian Beach in Ecola state park!!!

A Perfect Honeymoon!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I were able to book on a last minute cancellation and found such a gem! Totally what we wanted: close beach access, quiet neighborhood, easy to work with owner/manager and a homey place to spend our honeymoon with our dogs! Cannot imagine staying anywhere else after this delightful experience.

Another wonderful stay

  • 5 of 5

This was our second time staying here. The close access to the beach is great. At low tide we were able to walk to the Ecola State Park beach, which is absolutely beautiful, with awesome rock formations and tide pools. The shore birds were nesting and we saw seagulls, murres, puffins, cormorants, as well as the occasional eagle that tried to grab a baby bird for lunch. The house and neighborhood is quiet with easy access to "downtown" Cannon Beach. We hope to stay again.

Great Cottage

  • 5 of 5

Our family of four enjoyed a long weekend at this sweet cottage. Our children aged 4 and 5 were very taken with the games and baskets of seashells around the place. The birds and squirrels do come in for bird seed on the back porch, and we heard owls hooting in the late afternoons. The close proximity to the beach was perfect for family fun and the streets were quiet enough for riding bikes and scooters. It was a scenic, relaxing trip, which is saying a lot with two preschoolers in tow! Highly recommend.

Wonderful place

  • 5 of 5

Me, my wife, and our dog stayed here for 3 nights, and it was great! We have been to Cannon Beach before, but this house made our stay alot more memorable...the quieter north end of cannon beach is only a 5 minute walk down the street. The house is supper cool, and the monty python complete series dic set was a defnitie bonus! Also nice to have a washer/dryer; we had quite a bit of laundry to do from a week on the road. The creek off the back porch was very serene to just look at first thing in the morning while having coffee, as well as listening to all the different birds. We had a nice bike ride and hike into Ecola State Park; park road is only a few blocks away, and the road is awesome into the park (steep hills; have good climbing legs and/or a low geared mountain bike!) but worth the effort; deep, lush, jungle like woods. Al in all a great stay...thank you Cindy!
