My husband and I adore Newport & our special spot here. He is an avid golfer and I am a beach nut, which make Newport our perfect blend. Friends & family gravitate to this magnetic island for fun in the sun and the excitement of Newport, or just a respite from busy lives. The incredible weather, crisp blue skies, clear water, crashing waves, and elegance everywhere make this a never-ever land of breath-taking scenery and invigorating fun.

We work in Houston, Texas & play in Newport, RI. We escape the summer heat to a cool crisp climate & beautiful surroundings. We love Newport for its beauty, its weather, & its unique setting of elegance.
The privacy of being on a cul-de-sac with only 6 other properties, each being on 1/2 - 1 acre of land and the seasonal water view overlooking Green End Pond is serene. The proximity of vibrant activity in downtown Newport, the beaches, golf courses, and Narragansett Bay makes this location close to everything while also being a quiet get-away
My family loved staying here for our Newport vacation. The house is beautiful, well-maintained, and had all we needed and more. Each bedroom is lovely and comfortable. The living/dining area is bright and spacious. The kitchen has all you need for cooking. The house is on a quiet, pretty street and has a cute backyard with a table and a grill. The location is amazing - just a short drive to everything, including beaches, Newport Mansions, Cliff Walk, shopping, and restaurants. The owner left a binder full of suggestions and tips for the house and for the area, which was extremely helpful. We would definitely love to go back and highly recommend it!
My husband & I and our 2 teenagers stayed at this beautiful home from 7/26/14 to 8/2/14 and had a wonderful time. The home is on a quiet street located just a mile and a half or so from First Beach, the Newport Cliff Walk, Newport Mansions & downtown Newport. We thoroughly enjoyed eating breakfast on the patio while enjoying watching the many butterflies and humming birds. We love to be active outdoors and were delighted to be able to bicycle from the house to both First Beach and Second Beach and also to the Sachuset Wildlife Reserve. To top it off, the owner of this home is a wonderful lady and will do all she can to make sure the time spent at her home and in Newport is memorable.
We could not have had a better stay. We (3 adults and 1 infant) were there from mid-Sept to mid-Oct while my spouse was working at the Naval Station. We lived in Newport for several years in the past, so we know the area quite well, but had no idea that this little piece of Newport existed.
The house: The house sits in a cul-de-sac, and the entire street is covered by canopy of majestic trees. The shade was perfect because I was watching the baby for most of the day, so I was able to take him outside and stroll back and forth in the court. We also spent a lot of time in the back yard - it has a flowering plant that draws butterflies when the weather is still good. Absolutely beautiful. As for the house itself, it has cathedral ceilings and abundant light from the skylights that never make you feel stuffy, even if you spend hours indoors.
The owner: The owner did a wonderful job decorating and maintaining it as well. She was an absolute delight - she was very responsive, and you could tell that she genuinely wanted you to feel like a welcome guest in her home.
The location: If you need access to the base, the drive was 10 minutes to the far end of the Naval station. It's less than 10 minutes to the beaches or the cliff walk if you take Valley Road, and about the same amount of time to downtown Newport if you take Kay and the other back roads.
We miss the house already. Hope you enjoy your stay!
