We fell in love with Lake Tahoe upon moving to California in 1984. We rented vacation homes for a while and acquired a taste for Tahoe's rustic and mountain living. Being an athletic and adventurous family, we were drawn to Tahoe for all seasons. Over the years we have remodeled our home and made it a vacation paradise for others to enjoy as well!
Sarah purchased this house in 1992
LOCATION! We fell in love with its cozy feel and perfect location. Not to mention the amazing lake views! Some other handy perks include County maintained roads always open in the winter, and snow removal, and easy access to 5 ski resorts...Nevada Casinos are just few miles away as well. The house is great and has the mountain feel with a classic A- frame and wrap around deck.
Our favorite activities are snowboarding and skiing at any one of several ski resorts within 10-15 minutes drive. During the summer we enjoy boating, paddle boarding and even wakeboarding on the crystal clear water of Lake Tahoe. Our Evenings are usually spent on the deck, grilling out and enjoying the Lake views with friends and family.
Great home for a big group. Plenty of beds, nice open space for playing Bananagrams in the living room, pretty good hot tub.
My friends and I (10 people total) really enjoyed our stay in this cabin. The architecture is great, the location is great, the furniture is great.
My only complaint is that it snowed so much that we couldn't find the outdoor bear-box to store all of our trash. We had to leave our garbage bags inside the garage. The owner didn't seem to mind, but I still felt bad.
I will definitely be keeping this in mind for a return trip winter and summer.
I took my sales team up for an offsite. The eleven of us slept comfortably, the cabin was warm, and the hot tub was put to good use! The fire place int he living room was a great touch. Would stay again!
We had a wonderful stay in Tahoe Vista and truly enjoyed the cabin. We were blessed with a white Christmas and loved the location - pretty easy drives to Tahoe City, Squaw and Alpine each day. The owners were very responsive and accommodating throughout the rental process and returned our deposit very promptly. The decor was charming, the kitchen was well-equipped and the Keurig was a real treat each morning. There was plenty of room for 8-10 (part of our party had to cancel last minute.) The hot tub was a real treat after skiing each day. The downstairs (2 bedrooms and 1 full bath) did get very hot while the upstairs temperature was comfortable, so we had to close the heat vents and adjust the thermometer frequently. My only recommendation for the owners is to consider adding a couple of bean bags to the tv room. If we did have our full party of eight, there would not have been enough seating for everyone to watch a movie or hang out in front of the fire together. Also, bring your own tissues though other paper products (napkins, paper towel, toilet paper) were very well stocked. Other than that, we had no complaints and would definitely go back!
pictures makes it look soo much more bigger then it really is..
another thing is that they advertise two car garage and they only have space for one small car..
and last the kitchen was missing a blender! wich we had to spend money out of our pocket to buy 64.99 to be excact, something we've never had to do at any other cabins we've stayed in!.
ooooh and another big thing the thermostat we had to keep on changing the temperature on it since at night it would change it self and it would make the house feel so hot everyone was sweating!😔
