Perfect weekend in Northern Michigan!

  • 5 of 5

My friends and I had a fabulous time at this well-equipped cabin. It felt wonderfully cozy, but there was plenty of space for everyone. The balance was perfect. The scenery around it was beautiful and pristine in the winter snow. I hope to stay again someday!

Snowy Cabin in the Woods

  • 4 of 5

I enjoyed my stay. The cabin felt a lot cozier (in a good way) than the photos or number of bedrooms led me to expect. The cabin and kitchen were mostly stocked with what I needed. An ax or hatchet to split off kindling would have been helpful, as would a little newspaper or cardboard for starting fires in the stove. I also wish there were a few lids to go with all those pots and pans. If I'd been with a group I think the fact that there's only one bathroom would have been a problem but it wasn't an issue for me.

Very clean, plenty of room for families with kids, quick drive to Pere Marquette river access

  • 5 of 5

Cabin has a nice layout for multiple families with kids. Each bedroom has outside access, and for those of us sleeping in the finished basement it was super clean and surprisingly quiet. The house has plenty of parking with 2 driveways, and the community beach is just down the road with a playground (full of dangerously fun vintage equipment). We were there to salmon fish, and there are 2 main river access points within a 7 minute drive.
