Overview

About the property

1 bedroom, 1 bath, sleeps 4 (full size sofa bed). In the heart of everything

Boston is a beautiful, historical walking city - if you stay in the North End which is the focal point of all the Sights & Activities that every visitor to Boston wants to see. By staying in the North End you can enjoy ALL YOUR TIME in Boston instead of getting stuck trying to get to the attractions - waiting for over-crowded subways or taxis stuck in traffic. In the Historic North End (Little Italy) there are no hotels, so the only way to stay in the nicest part of town is to stay in a private home. Apartments in this area are generally quite small, but you will find this apartment large enough to be comfortable for 2 ( note: we could allow a max of 4 but for less than 5 nights)

This apartment is a few doors down from Paul Revere's House & the Freedom Trail & the Old North Church. In the Heart of the old Italian district, you are surrounded by many of the best restuarants in the city.

Fanueil Hall is across the street, this property is on the new Greenway (created by the Big Dig), and is three blocks from the Aquarium and Whale Watch Tours. This apartment is 4 blocks from the Celtics & Bruins at Boston Garden. You can walk thru Fanueil Hall to get to Beacon Hill and the Swan Boats on the Boston Public Garden... or take advantage of 4 different subway stops to get to Fenway, the Museums or Harvard Square

If the dates you want are unavailable, we have a couple other beautiful apartments that are also in the North End - so you can likely stay among our apartments and remain in the nicest, most historical, most interesting & convenient part of the city.

1 bedroom condo. Sleeps 2 1 queen size bed for 2 people. A queen size sofa bed for 2 more people ( but only up to 4 nights)

Our unit has (bathroom, kitchen, living room, separate bedroom) It has all the appliances and features you will need in the in kitchen ( coffee maker, oven, microwave, refrigerator). Plasma TV ( basic cable with some extra channels, no sports channels) and High Speed WiFi internet.

This unit is a few blocks from the Financial District ( making it ideal for business trips)

Note: We are in the HEART of the CITY ( Boston), so obviously you could expect as in any main city major city some noise associated with traffic, tourists, etc. and other noise that can't be controlled us. We can't be accountable or responsible for noise or disturbance from circumstance happening outside our unit or in the streets.

If you are choosing staying in the heart, most accessible, most historic and fun part of Boston, then THIS is your place.

Be sure not to miss:

- The North End ( Italian district where the property is located)

- Paul Revere's house

- The Old North Church ( 'one if by land, two if by sea' )

- The Freedom Trail (a 2.5 mile red-brick walking trail that leads you to 16 nationally significant historic sites)

About Mark & Caroline

Mark & Caroline love to Travel and first started renting apartments for vacations in Europe. With this property, an opportunity arose for us to offer the same kind of great experience to other travellers that we always experience when we rent vacation apartments around the US and the rest of the world

Mark & Caroline purchased this condo in 2012

Why Mark & Caroline chose North End

For us the North End of Boston is like taking a vacation in Europe. Since we live in an historic town outside of Boston called Lexington, and we have busy careers - we don't get to go to Europe as often as we would like. Caroline often says when she needs a get-away to renew herself and get the feeling that she has been away on a trip, she will often go and spend the day in the North End - and feel like she has been travelling abroad

Guestbook comments from the manager

Thank you, this place is perfectly placed for our needs. If I plan better next year, I hope for a longer stay with you. Cheers

The apartment is in a GREAT location right in the heart of the Boton historic district.

  • 5 of 5

The apartment is in the perfect downtown historic location, within walking distance to the Transportation systems. Caroline was VERY helpful and always a text away for tips and ideas about making our vacation perfect. I would recommend buying a 7-day pass for the subway and bus system ($21.00). The ghost walking tours, freedom trail-histrionic walking tours, witch-hunt walking tours (in Salem) and City View bus tours were a GREAT way to explore the city for its amazing history of our Founding Nation. For delicious Italian pastries, walk a block to Steve's Pasties (you won't be disappointed, but there is about a hundred people, or so, waiting in line). For a treat, go to Beijing Foot Spa in Salem ($35/special) for an hour of foot reflexology and full body massage (a few blocks from the commuter train-purple line). Your feet and legs will thank you! I would recommend any couple to stay in Caroline's apartment.

Owner's Response: Thank you guys, you were really good guests, so very respectful of us, the apartment and the rules. I'll have you guys any time. I think is Mike's Pastry the name actually the one on Hanover street, always really busy and a long line to get in but people enjoy their pastries. The T pass it's a good deal since we are walking distance to the train(s) that take you to all the main sites and more so buying it for a few days it's cheaper than paying your rides back and forth.

Great location and comfortable apartment

  • 5 of 5

When we first saw the entrance, we were a little worried. Then when we entered the apartment we were very pleasantry surprised. The unit is nicely furnished, clean, and comfortable. The north end location in the Italian district was perfect for our needs. The restaurants and vibrancy of the area was a residential location within walking distance to many of Boston's best attractions. One recommendation I would make is to provide a handrail down the front steps for us seniors.

Perfect location for Boston experience

  • 5 of 5

The property was clean, convenient, and beautifully decorated. The owners were friendly and helpful, with tips and suggestions. Kitchen has everything you need for eating in, but why would you want to with so many wonderful restaurants just steps from your door! We walked to nearly all of the historic sites, and took the hop on hop off Old Town Trolley for those a little farther out. We stayed three nights, and loved every minute. I would not hesitate to recommend this apartment.. in fact, we already have.

Fabulous location

  • 5 of 5

While we had four adults staying there, which is doable, this place is ideal for a couple. The owners were very candid and said four would be cramped. But the place had much more space than anticipated. It is a lovely place with lots of seating. The location could not have been more ideal.

The owners said that bringing a car is not a good idea because parking is not always easy. We had to have a car and the parking cost us a fortune because it was a festival weekend and we got stuck paying event parking nightly.

So listen to the owners. They will not steer you wrong!!!

I highly recommend this place. Little Italy is at your doorstep. And be sure to hit the Boston Public Market for breakfast. Just a couple blocks away and so many choices

Visited Boston Colleges

  • 5 of 5

We went to Boston to look at colleges for my granddaughter. The location of the apartment was perfect. We were able to to walk or Uber all over the city. The close proximity of the restaurants was great as well as all sorts of history. The apartment its self was small but perfect for the the three of us. If I had a complaint it would be the hide a bed, but aren't all hide a beds uncomfortable? We did not meet Caroline but did not have a need, all was well outlined in the information she sent. Thanks, Caroline.

Incredible Boston Property in Historic North End

  • 5 of 5

This was our first trip to Boston and we were unsure of where to stay and what to expect. After reading the reviews on HomeAway, we decided to rent from Caroline. From our initial contact with her to our last day there, Caroline was a fantastic source of information. She was patient and courteous in our correspondences. Regarding the property - what a great location! In the heart of Little Italy on the North End. Very close to the Freedom Trail, great restaurants, and local stores that provide produce and groceries. Boston subway stop - "Haymarket" was a 5 minute walk. The property fit us perfectly. We had two adults and one older teenager. The apartment is exactly as described by Caroline, We would highly recommend the property and the owner!

Owner's Response: Thank you Eugene for your kind review. We were really happy having you guys as our guests. You were really respectful to us, to our rules and to the property, we will have you any time as well. Our central location is indeed makes it really convenient for people who want to be in the heart of everything, restaurants, parks, shops, Faneuil Hall and most of the historic sites are walking distance and having public transportation so close to the apartments is ideal for everyone who wants to enjoy Boston and the North End without the outrageous hotel prices in this area. We are so happy you got the most of our city and you and your family were comfortable at the apartment. Thanks for being so respectful and considerate guests.
