Historic Home in Uptown: only 3bedroom/4 bathroom in neighborhood!

Bedrooms 3
Space 2,000 sq. ft.
Property type apartment
Minimum Stay 3 - 4 nights

About the property

3 bdrms with en suite bathrooms; 4 bathrooms total.

Hello and thanks for your interest in our property!

If you want fresh finishes with a safe and unmatched location, look no further! Our secure and private 3 bedroom/4 full bathroom listing is located on the first floor of our beautiful, newly restored home in the heart of Uptown New Orleans. The listing has its own private entrance and is completely private from the remainder of the home.

The listing is located between Magazine St. with its wide array of shopping, dining, bars, art galleries and antiques and St. Charles Avenue with its historic New Orleans streetcar line. It is also just a 5-10 minute taxi to the French Quarter, and a short walk to the uptown Mardi Gras parade route. In addition, at least four of the best restaurants in New Orleans are within 2-4 blocks from our home: Shaya, La Petite Grocery, Lillette, and Coquette. Many other great, casual restaurants and bars are also in the immediate vicinity.

Everything in this freshly renovated unit is new- all the beds, mattresses, furniture etc. This unit has an open living/dining/kitchen area with its own private full bathroom, complete with granite counters and stainless appliances. The unit can accommodate 6 people comfortably. Bedroom 1 has a king bed and private full bathroom; Bedroom 2 has one king bed and a private full bath; Bedroom 3 has one queen bed with a private full bathroom. That's right, every bedroom has its own private/full bathroom!! There is also another full bathroom off the living room! That's a total of 4 full bathrooms! The apartment is fully furnished and renovated with brand new appliances, furniture and fixtures, along with all the silverware, utensils, plates, and linens you will ever need during your stay being provided. Wifi internet access and cable HD/TV is provided. Central air and heat. Washer/dryer is also in the apartment for your use (and a couple of detergent pods).

We provide travel size shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, and soap in each bathroom, as well as enough Keurig coffee pods for two days of coffee, sugar, spenda, creamer, etc for your coffee. There is also a full sized coffee pot with filters if you prefer, though you will need to provide your own coffee. If there is something that you may need during your stay, please let us know, and we will do our best to provide it!

Our family lives in the top 2 floors of the house, so we are on site to accommodate any needs you might have, and we love to help our visitors with local color on shopping, dining, and sightseeing, directions and other hot local tips. However, the unit has its own private entrance, so you can have as much or as little interaction with us as you like.

In order to alleviate any concerns you may have regarding your safety and security while you are staying in New Orleans, we have implemented several security measures. The property is surrounded by an eight foot iron gate and requires a private code to enter. We change the code after each guest leaves. In addition, we have security cameras around the property and a private security company patrols the neighborhood.

There is ample on-street parking available right in front of the property; parking is never a problem in our neighborhood. While none of our guests have every had any issues, our security cameras do cover the street parking spots for your ease of mind.

We are honest, long standing New Orleanians. We'll do our very best to be honest and fair in the process and allay any fears you may have. If we accept your rental fee funds, then the rental is yours, period. That is how we roll.

We look forward to seeing you in NOLA!

A Beautiful Home with minor issues!

  • 4 of 5

My cousins and I took a girls trip down to New Orleans to finally put New Orleans on our list of places we've been. It was a total of 3 of us. The commute from the airport was pretty long but, from what the locals were saying we were in a great neighborhood, the Garden District!! The home was beautiful and I would definitely stay again a few cleaning issues which we found bugs in the bathroom (not a big deal) we brought a lot of our own products and cleaned ourselves. The air conditioner was loud but, the least of our worries. Our stay was from a Thursday to Monday. The owners which I didn't know until I booked they lived upstairs, they were out of town and came back Sunday. They have small children which woke us up early Monday morning. The good thing is it was only one day but, we're on a different time zone, vacation and I'm 5 months pregnant so the last thing I wanted was to get up at 6am especially after being out all night. Then one day the had people come to maintain their yard and gave us no notification which I felt we deserved being guest in the home. Again, the home was great and I would definitely stay again but, I would suggest to rent a car because we each spent like $150 a person on uber/lyft, as far as the home I love the fact the each of us had like our own ensuite (bdrm with bth) and then, a great neighborhood and convenient to Magazine Street which has amazing food. However; great home, in a great neighborhood and would definitely stay again!

Owner's Response: Krystal, I'm glad you enjoyed your stay and that we were able to accommodate your last minute request to check out more than 6 hours after standard check out time (and waive the associated fee). I wish you had contacted us about the cleaning issue. The whole unit was deep cleaned (behind all furniture, base boards, etc) about 2 weeks before you arrived and we did not have any guests in between, so I expect this arose during that period. We would have called the housekeeper to come out had you let us know. In terms of our family living on premises, the listing description clearly states that fact, so you should have been well aware. Our price point reflects the fact we live in the upper unit. Anything else of similar size in our neighborhood is much more expensive. Nicole

Great place with even better hosts!

  • 5 of 5

Loved everything about this place!! The hosts, Jason and Nicole went above and beyond to accommodate us and made themselves available if we needed them for anything!

We had 5 women staying here and the size and comfort of this cute apartment was perfect!! There are 4 full bathrooms and you all know how important that is when you have a bunch of women in one place!! LOL :)

Before our arrival, Nicole emailed us several location ideas for places to eat, buy groceries or shop that were within walking distance.

Upon check in, Jason met us at the locked gate and took time to show us around the apartment and go over ideas of what to do while we were in NOLA and when and where it was safe to walk around. He gave us the idea to do an airboat tour where we saw alligators up close and personal!! Great suggestion that we would not have thought of! We had a great time!!

They both gave us their phone numbers and insisted we contact them if we needed anything at all or had any questions about the city.

The description of this place is exactly as they describe and more and is only 1 block away from Magazine Street which has a ton of eating and shopping establishments within walking distance. I cannot recommend this place highly enough!!! If I ever make it back to this beautiful city, I will definitely book a stay here again!

Best Kept Secret

  • 5 of 5

My Best Friend and I, along with 2 other couples stayed in this beautiful home for our visit to NOLA for Essence Fest. I use the term home not lightly, because that is exactly what you walk into when you stay here. The running joke was about the Kuerig still in place, after remembering the previous reviews that mentioned it's history.

We came from 3 different States, and met at the house. I was the one who found it for the group's approval and one of the other women was our accountant. She was graciously met by the homeowner, with all the info we needed to have a pleasurable stay.

The beds were comfortable, and having 4 baths was ideal, for the arrangement of our visiting party. That's right, all 3 bedrooms had private baths with an additional one in the Common Room. It was extremely hot in NOLA last weekend, but it was comforting to come in from a long, hectic day of events, concerts, and shopping, to a cool, spacious home. Unlike a cramped hotel room with everyone waiting to use one bathroom.

The location was perfect for all our New Orleans cuisine searches, only 10 mins from Morial Convention Center. Each Couple drove, but for convenience sake we used Uber most of the whole stay due to the lack of parking in the French Quarters and the cost of parking nearest the venues in the Convention Center and

I highly recommend VRBO, as this was our first time using them, but more so I recommend this property because the owners have a perfect setup for your vacation need. Just not the last week of June thru July 5, because I am sure we will be using this spot for yrs to come.

We had an outstanding stay in this lovely home. Nicole and Jason were a great help on where to eat and fun things to do. Walking distance to outstanding restaurants and short Uber rides to all areas. Comfortable home with well stocked kitchen. The bedrooms were most comfortable and we all especiallyliked a bathroom with each bedroom plus one off the living room. Will definitely plan to return!
