We had a wonderful experience here at Kevin's apt. We spent a week exploring around Tokyo and having this apt in such a good location made it so easy to get around the city. The apt is literally a block away from the train station and from here you can go just about anywhere you want to. Dealing with Kevin was so easy from the start and he always answered back emails promptly. Booking was simple. The apt is small, but very efficient. The bed was very comfortable, we appreciated this very much. Kevin provides a pocket WiFi and this was the greatest thing ever! We liked that the location of the apt was more in a residential area, but there was still plenty of restaurants and coffee spots just blocks away. We would recommend this apt for a couple wanting to explore around Tokyo.
clean and quiet, faraway the JR station but close New Otsuka station.
5mins to 24hr supermarkets

Our reservation was transferred to Kevin's other property in Asakusa/Ueno "New Tokyo Center JR up to 5 & WiFi"
Reflecting upon my stay, I have concluded that because of the amenities that Kevin offered in his apartment, our trip was such a success. The apartment fit our needs well. It was quite large in Japanese standards with a separate bedroom with a double bed and the living room with a double-sized pull-out sofa, separate shower and tub, hallway with washing machine which led to the bathroom with the wonderful heated toilet and a vanity and sink. Everything was clean, updated and new.
We loved having cappuccino and tea in the mornings, making eggs with toast and Kevin got us addicted to this sponge roll cake which he shared with us when he picked us up from the train station. We had it every morning since from the SunKus convenience store.
Kevin was attentive and did email us with suggestions about which sites to see. However, the portable WiFi unit was a lifesaver. Our phones' gps guided us thru all those myriad of congested and noisy streets of the bazaar to find the perfect restaurant that was recommended on the internet: tempura, sushi, yakitori, tonkatsu, ramen, udon, etc.
After a day of sightseeing, milling thru throngs of people while shopping or being crammed onto the trains, it was such a relief to get back to "our oasis" in a quiet neighborhood but still only minutes from the Ueno station. The elevator was an added bonus especially when I couldn't take another step let alone climb three flights of stairs. My kids, both in college, would go out on occasion to explore on their own after I was safely deposited at home. I could soak in the tub, do laundry, catch up on emails and just recoup for our next day of adventure.
Kevin took care with the details to make us feel pampered in our home away from home. From candles and scented room fresheners to a supply of cappuccino and expresso pods, Kevin had more than the basic hotel amenities. I highly recommend for a family or small group to stay. Thank-you.
