Guestbook comments from the owner

We loved to stay in this old victorian house in cabaggetown toronto. Proper clean an tidied up. There are lovely shops and restaurants nearby, and even the discovering of downtown Toronto was a walkway, so there is no need for a vehicule neither public transport.

Dana and her husband were constantly zealous to give recommendations or answers on our questions. Thanks a lot.

At any time we will come again.

5 Stars!

Lovely Flat!

  • 5 of 5

Dana keeps her house beautifully decorated. Everything is just like in the pictures! Very friendly environment – she tries to help you knowing more about the city, where are the good places to eat and see. I was there for a very short time therefore I took the UBER most of the time because wanted to see too many places in only two days. I am so happy I met this beautiful and kind family.

Great room in Cabbage Town area

  • 5 of 5

The accommodations consist of a bedroom and bath with a short hallway behind a locking door inside a lovely two story brick townhouse. The bath is gorgeous and everything in the home is beautifully decorated. The home is within a 30 minute walk of downtown Toronto and many attractions. We also used the hop-on, hop-off bus to get around to various sights. Dana is a gracious host and very friendly and helpful. We very much enjoyed our stay here and recommend it to other travelers.

Owner's Response: It was our great pleasure to host you as well! I am very happy that your stay was so memorable and we contributed to it. Many guests think of Downtown the Financial District only with high rises, however we are very fortunate to live here, in the residential area of Downtown, with mature trees that protects us from the city noise, yet close enough to walk to great restaurants, major attractions, pubs, fancy shops and ethnic eateries. Every day feels like a holiday! Parks and trails are also minutes away. Our home is a detach Victorian home not a townhouse, however here we have some infills next to us. Bike rentals are located on our street and have stations all over the city if this is your type of adventure. No car is need it unless you would like to venture outside the City (a trip to Niagara Falls and Niagara on the Lake, or Blue Mountains or Wasaga Beach etc). See you soon!

Great location and quiet neighborhood.

  • 5 of 5

Wonderful hosts take pride in their home. Very helpful making sure we could find our way around Toronto. Public transportation very close and many places within walking distance. We would have liked to have been able to spend an entire week, but hope we can next time.

Owner's Response: Thank you very much for your kind words. We are very pleased to know that you had such a wonderful time in our home. We always enjoy sharing old and new experiences with our guests. We love living downtown in Cabbagetown so close to the best Toronto has to offer. As you have seen it is a very diverse neighborhood where walking under the canopy of the old trees one can forget about the noise of the modern city. You can immerse yourself in the past looking at the old Victorian houses and yet walk to shops and modern or ethnic restaurants. There are many more things to be seen and experienced in Toronto and we hope to see you again next year!

Owner's Response: I am very happy that your stay was so great! Setting and managing expectations are the keys to a successful stay. We pride ourselves for cleanliness, comfort and attention to details and I am happy that our efforts get noticed. We are walking distance (2-3 min) to top restaurants, major attractions, pubs, fancy shops and ethnic eateries. Every day feels like a holiday! Parks and trails are also minutes away. Convenient to walk the city - homely and quiet

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in Dana's lovely home for 3 nights. The room is quiet and clean with everything one needs. The bathroom is great with a lovely shower and we felt very comfortable and had all the privacy one needs. Dana recommended places to visit and was incredibly helpful and welcoming. The neighbourhood is interesting and historic and suburban yet so close to the centre. We would definitely return. Many thanks Dana.
