Why Jimalu gott chose Tahoe Pines

This is a very quiet neigborhood off the main streets with a magnificent sunrise across the lake in the morning. 3 minutes to Homewood, 15 minutes Tahoe City, and 35 minutes to Truckee. Also only 45 minutes to south shore. Great spot for families. A beautiful pier to experience the lake .

The Magical West Shore is the most scenic portion of Lake Tahoe. It is out of the hub bub of the commercial centers and very quiet. Yet, very accessible for the nearby commercial needs. Giant pines and firs for the forest, and lovely nature setting.

A fantastic vacation home on the lake!

  • 5 of 5

We rented this house for a long weekend in May. This was a group of 7 ladies who have been friends since junior high school. Gary and Jimalu met us at the house and made sure everything was set up. Although it snowed somewhat unexpectedly, we had a pile of cut wood and made ourselves at home in the cozy house. The bedrooms worked out well - lots of bed options and having bathrooms upstairs and down made it easy. The bathrooms are newer - heated floors and good water pressure. The kitchen was very well appointed (small microwave - but works fine), electric stove, big fridge and stocked pantry. Plenty of dishes and silverware (we ate all our meals in). Dining room had extra leaves for the table. We ate every meal at home, had a fire roaring and when it wasn't snowing, sat outside on the comfortable furniture and looked out on the lake's beautiful views.

We decided that instead of going to a different location for our next reunion, we are going to rent this lovely home again.

We girls have been going to Tahoe every year since camping together in the 80's. We now bring our kayaks and bikes and stay for a week or more in this VRBO house. Gary & Jimilu, the owners, couldn't be more helpful. We hope to continue this tradition for years to come.(We used to rent next door for 7 years). Thanks again for the beautiful home, the pier, scenery, the well equipped kitchen and being totally comfortable in your haven on the lake. It sure renews friendships, promotes laughter, and gets us active!
