Mickey, a retired teacher and Molly, a retired event planner in Silicon Valley! We love walking miles and miles on the beach with our dog, yoga, working out,, friends and being involved in our community!

We love the small scale of Capitola Village. We are beach people and own the perfect home for our busy, big family to come and enjoy with us!
We are close to everything...walking distance to restaurants, the beach, Gayle's Bakery, the movies, grocery store, pharmacy, village and mall shopping. We also love going to Santa Cruz Wharf and down-town. Also, Carmel and the Monterey Peninsula is a quick 40 minute drive away!
My husband and I stayed here and our adult children joined us. So easy to walk to good restaurants, the beach, or Gayles Bakery! We live within 40 miles of this rental, but felt like we were in another world. The view is the best in town, and the quiet garden is relaxing and lovely. We like to cook and the kitchen is well equipped, and there is a BBQ outside the kitchen door on the patio. Owner's are available if you have any questions! We can't wait to come back.
Two of us stayed here for the month of May and found it to be exactly what we were hoping for. Amenities include:
--Fantastic location in Capitola village. Walk to the beach, restaurants, coffee, ice cream, etc., and short drive (or longer walk) to grocery store, Gayle's bakery, etc.
--Incredible ocean views through many windows
--Very nice kitchen--made it easy to cook
--Beautiful garden area for sitting outside
--Very accommodating and knowledgeable owners who went out of their way to help us when we had some issues come up unrelated to the rental. They were incredibly helpful. Also they are experienced in renting their house so they have all the basic needs covered (wifi, parking permits, booster for cell phones b/c some cell coverage isn't very good in the village, local information, etc.).
Other reviewers mentioned the hill coming down to the house and that might be an issue for a few people who have trouble walking, but my 83 year old mother didn't have any problems with it.
We have rented houses quite a few times and this has been among our best experiences.
The family has DECLARED our stay in Capitola as the Best Family Vacation ever. This vacation house has everything one needs: Location, Location, Location. It's very comfortable and charming, plus it has all the amenities of Home. Do not expect to find a lavish mansion. But what you will find is very livable space with a million dollar view. Our three children (11, 12 and 13) loved they could walk to the beach, pizza or churros and be there within a couple easy minutes. My wife loved the comforts the home offered and, of course, the picture perfect view. I loved how easy and accommodating the property owner was during the transaction. The only potential issue would be parking if you have accessibility issues. One must travel up and down a small hill to the vehicles. This will not be an issue for the majority of the people, but thought I would mention. Overall, I cannot imagine staying at a more perfect place in Capitola. We hope to make this an annual trip. If you see that the dates you desire are available, do not hesitate, this place is PERFECT.
We stayed at here to celebrate our 2nd wedding anniversary in Sept. What an amazing house! It was so easy to walk down the little pathway to the beach everyday. We had dinners at the dinning table with a perfect ocean view. Very romantic, but also fun for our son too. Inside is decorated so cute and modern. Beautiful calming garden in the back. Easy parking.
Our family has enjoyed staying at this wonderful home several times. The view of the entire Capitola bay and town is amazing.. The house is gorgeous (beautifully decorated), the beds are comfortable and the house and owners are so welcoming and accommodating. It felt like our own beach home! Perfect location, easy parking, easy walk to the village. Perfect in every way!
