Overview

About the property

3 apartments: 1 with a terrace, 1 with a garden – and all of them kept tidy!

The apartments are located in the elegant Prati neighbourhood, at the foot of Monte Mario. The Vatican is just a short 10-minute walk away. If you would prefer to give your feet a break, just hop on bus 70 or 23 for a quick trip: the Vatican is only three stops away! All of the Holy City's tourist sites are very quickly and easily accessible.

2 of our apartments are located in our early 20th-century villa's annex. They each have their own separate entrance and are very peaceful, since their windows overlook a small garden. Both of these apartments also each have an exterior area: one apartment has a small terrace, while the other has a garden. The third apartment is located in the main house, but nevertheless has its own separate entrance.

Casa Gioli and Casa Giardino each have a bedroom with double bed and a living room with kitchenette and 2 single beds. The La Terza apartment has a bedroom with high-quality sofa bed, and all 3 apartments offer all the comforts of home: washing machine, internet, TV, air-conditioning, etc.

The location is absolutely perfect. Our apartments are the ideal starting point for trips around the city. The neighbourhood is home to all kinds of shops and restaurants, the biggest and most important vegetable and flower market lies just around the corner, and the Via Candia and Via Cola di Rienzo shopping streets are also nearby.

There is ONE parking for both apartments. Please enquire if the parking is available, if you're interested. Normally it is. Otherwise it's very easy to find a parking on the street.

The Prati neighbourhood arose in the 19th century on the meadows that stretched from the banks of the Tiber towards the left, behind the Castel Sant’Angelo. Back then, Romans still had much difficulty crossing the river. Once bridges across the river were built, Prati's geometrically-shaped house blocks were so close to the historical city centre that they soon became a part of it. Today, the neighbourhood is among the most popular residential areas in the city. It is home to theatres, cinemas, restaurants, and the famous Cola di Rienzo shopping street. At the end of the Cola di Rienzo, across the river Tiber, lies the Piazza del Popolo, from which another renowned shopping street, the Via del Corso, starts. The Vatican, including Saint Peter's Basilica and the Vatican Museum, can be reached by foot.

Appartement fonctionnel, propre, et jardin privé.

  • 3 of 5

On recommande!

Pleasant flat with a courtyard

  • 5 of 5

The flat is a modern outbuilding of a large house with its own courtyard. It's a reasonable size and uses the available space well. The kitchen area is small but fairly well-equipped (oven, microwave, gas cooker plus enough utensils). The bathroom is an adequate size and has cupboards to store your things, which in my experience is often a problem in holiday flats. The double bed is rather hard but otherwise the bedroom is pleasant. There's good garden furniture (we ate all our meals outside) and the courtyard has three shady fruit trues. Everything is clean and in good condition.

The location is fine, although it lacks character. It's 10-15 minutes' walk to the nearest metro and 30 minutes to the Vatican. It's probably not ideal if you want to enjoy Rome's nightlife, but since we have a child that wasn't relevant. There are two good supermarkets and a very popular gelateria just a few minutes' walk away. There are various bars and restaurants within 15 minutes' walk (towards the Vatican).

Daniela was helpful and friendly, and organized an airport transfer for us which worked well.

We'd have no hesitation in using this apartment again - and there's so much to see in Rome that we definitely plan to go back!

pretty flat in walking distance of central Rome

  • 5 of 5

the flat was clean, bright and comfortable. the kitchen was fully kitted out and came with basic cooking ingredients, which was very welcome. the garden is large and is very pretty - i enjoyed breakfast out there very much.

i walked everywhere although anyone disabled would find the hill back to the flat a bit of a trial. the area is charming though with markets and shops close by.

the owner was very accomodating and welcoming.

i would definitely go back again.

Peaceful stay in Rome, central with priv. garden

  • 5 of 5

The apartment itself is nice and clean. It is perfect size for a small family. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking meals. Plenty of hot water and wireless internet worked excellent. The apartment is gated in with along with Daniela's home and her other apartments. Apartment appears to be in a safe part of town, but this made it feel extra safe. The private garden was very nice for morning coffees and relaxing in the evening. Grocery stores, restaurants and a great gelateria nearby.

The apartment is located within walking distance of Vatican City. Getting around the rest of Rome is also very easy from this location as their are metro and bus statins nearby, which makes travelling around affordable and quick. Daniela is also very organized and has a map of Rome with various bus routes and metro information posted. Our stay in Rome was quite short so all of this information she provided us was very useful and helped us make the most of our stay in Rome.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay in Rome and would highly recommend Casa Gioli to any small family who wishes to visit Rome.

location dans un lieu tranquille ??

  • 1 of 5
