Beautiful home in beautiful location
What lovely home! Comfortable, immaculate, exceptionally well furnished. Available were books, movies, ping pong. And much to do in the area with Schoodic Peninsula of Acadia Nat. Park the highlight. Many lovely towns and restaurants. All in all, a great week.

Thank you so much for your kind words. We are so happy to hear you had a fun week! Di and Mark :o)
Beautiful home. Super clean with quality furnishings.
The home is even much nicer than it appears on-line. It is very clean with first rate furnishings. The kitchen is very complete, and everything works well. We really enjoyed
the location. Previously we have stayed on Mount Desert Island but we enjoyed this location actually better. The Schooldic Peninsula part of the park is beautiful with plenty of activities. Winter harbor is a nice town, less frantic than Bar Harbor. We enjoyed swimming in Jones Pond, it is actually a beautiful large lake close to the house.
Beautiful countryside, beautiful house
This a great location; right on the water, right on a major highway. Absolutely wonder part of Maine. Away from the crowds but only 45 minutes to Bar Harbor. Only 20 minutes to the Schoodic Peninsula park. House is very comfortable, well equipped, and looks new. The electric fireplace and ping pong table are nice touches! House has Wifi which is important to stay connected. Owners were easy to work with. Would absolutely return to this property.
Beautiful inside and out
Wonderful view from deck. Could see all the way to Bar Harbor. Inside was very clean and the furnishings were lovely. All one needed was food. Everything else provided. Only problem was that the internet was spotty
Thank you so much for the kind review. I'm very surprised to about the internet service being spotty... I've never heard that before and have not experienced myself. I'm wondering if it may have had something to do with the remnants from the recent hurricanes.
Property was modern, clean and very nice.
We enjoyed our stay. The property was clean, well kept and was as was described. We spent most of our time in Acadia National Park which was a little bit of a drive each day but all in all we had a great time. I would recommend this property as a quiet property with all necessary for a great stay in Maine.
Much Better then we expected
My wife and I had a great time. We loved that the house was very secluded, quiet, very clean and had a great view. And the location is just right, nice and peaceful at the house and close enough to bar harbor for some good food and shopping. There are few good eateries that are close by also.
We ended up going to bar harbor almost every day. (we took the olley tour, acadadian boat tour a few times). The schoodic ferry from winter harbor to bar harbor was a fun ride also. And Dianne really helped out on where to go for what you looking to do. For us, I was in quest for eagles for photos and Dianne told me where they were. This vacation far exceeded my expectations and Dianne's place definitely helped with that.
Surchin’s End coastal retreat is in the town of Gouldsboro in Downeast Maine, just off the Schoodic Scenic Byway. Conveniently located 45 minutes from Bar Harbor, 15 minutes to the entrance of the Schoodic area of Acadia National Park, and 40 minutes from Blue Hill, Surchin’s End offers the vacationer easy access to two uniquely different, but equally beautiful, parts of Acadia National Park. This area provides abundant opportunities for biking, hiking, kayaking, swimming, sightseeing, eagle watching, wildlife and nature exploring, or just relaxing and enjoying the magnificence of the Maine coast.
