Come stay at this newly created and furnished studio in V Land. This is the perfect place for the surfer, artist, photographer or any one that wants a get away near an amazing beach. The studio is 3 houses down from the lane to V Land. (A mile North of Sunset Beach) The beach is fairly private with great surfing and year-round swimming due to its reef protection. You will really feel like you have arrived in the 'country'. The Studio is a single room with a queen size bed, roomy closet, newly done bathroom with shower and a wrap-around quartz counter with a kitchenette and desk area. There is also a Smart TV with WiFi and full cable. There is a side deck area for your exclusive use. The deck has a dining area for 2 as well as a washer/dryer. The deck is large enough for surf board storage too. Occupancy is strictly limited to 2. This is the perfect place if you want to be at the beach or out and about all day and have a cozy, dialed-in place to come back to. No smoking. No loud noise. Quiet time observed between 9pm and 8am. Car not needed, but there is a parking spot in the driveway if needed. Bikes are provided for your use. Sunset Beach is less than a mile south. Ted's Bakery has breakfast and lunch and is also about a half mile south. About 3 miles North is Turtle Bay Resort which has restaurants, shopping and bars/ entertainment.
I've spent a good part of the last 15 years on the North Shore of Oahu and now call it home. I love having properties that my friends and family can enjoy. I take care of my properties full-time so I think you'll find them clean and up-to-date.
Jill purchased this studio in 2014
I bought this property because I think the beach down the street is a true hidden gem on the North Shore. It really feels private and I love that it is swimmable year-round. It's amazing to be able to swim and also watch great surfing!
The property and the beach feel more like the true, less crowded Hawaii. It is also 3 miles to Turtle Bay if you want to go out, shop or have a nice meal out.
Perfect apartment and location - if you want to feel the real Hawaii you should stay at the North Shore
We had an excellent time and found our accommodations to be comfortable as well as beautiful. We could both see that a great deal of care and effort went into designing the studio. Everything was so efficient and we were impressed with the clever use of space. We also appreciated the fans (they kept the area much cooler when in use) - the key lies in keeping the windows open to let the breeze through. After long, hot days, it was wonderful to enjoy a cool shower and relax in our little studio. It had all the comforts of home and made our trip that much more enjoyable. We are also very grateful for the wonderful service and quick communication from the property management and owner. We felt very well taken care of. Mahalo!
My wife and I stayed here for 8 nights and had an amazing time. We already can't wait to go back and would return to Jill's place in a heartbeat! This was our second trip to Oahu and we can't wait to head back!
If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of Waikiki and be within biking/walking distance to a number of the best beaches on the island (Waimea Bay, Sunset Beach, Shark's Cove, Pipeline, etc), then this place is calling your name! With the bikes that were provided we cruised up and down the coast checking out the ocean, food trucks, hikes, and beautiful bike path.
We were sad to leave and hope to return soon! The only thing we would have wished was different was that there is no A/C in the studio. But, with the nice ceiling fan overhead and a secondary fan in the room, we were able to keep cool at night. Especially since we would leave the windows open and let the ocean breeze come right through.
We would definitely recommend Jill's studio to anyone who wants to be right in the mix with the locals and have an authentic Hawaiian experience all while not sacrificing on a clean and upgraded room for a fraction of the price of any resort or hotel in the area. We would hands down take this studio over Turtle Bay or any other commercialized spot in the area or on the entire island for that matter.
The small appartment offers everything you need: a small but well equipped kitchen, a nice bathroom, a cozy veranda, two bikes, beach towels, parasol and even a surfboard for exploring and enjoying the many magnificent beaches,...
Jill is a great host with many helpful tips. Also the neigbours, who live there permanently, are very nice.
We had three perfect days there, I would definitely come back!
The studio is beautiful. The kitchenette had everything we needed for our stay. Literally a 3 min walk to the beach. Great path nearby to ride bikes. I would have given it a 5 if it had air conditioning. We came home at about 3pm to get ready for a wedding and it was 91 degrees inside! At night we slept with the windows open and it was perfect. We weren't home very often in the middle of the day but when we were it was pretty miserable . We saw some fish in the nearby bays and our favorite was seeing sea turtles. Overall had a wonderful vacation and would recommend this studio to anyone who is looking for some R&R. We would definitely stay here again! Thanks Jill.
The Studio was very comfortable, had everything one could need, and within short distance from the beach. Jill, the owner, was very helpful. Could not recommend it more!
Great beach for snorkeling, swimming and surfing at Velzey Land across the street. Bikes provided to get you to other beaches including Sunset & Pipeline.
