Our family loves to come to this resort. It is very relaxing and attracts a lot of families. This particular unit was rather disappointing and we would not rent it again. We are pretty easy to please but the mattresses were so uncomfortable. All we felt were the springs. When you pay a lot for a stay you feel like your mattress should be at least thicker than the box springs. There are just a lot of cosmetic details that could easily be fixed too. I would recommend the owners invest in a handyman for a couple of weeks and have him come in and make some updates. All in all, we are pretty laid back folks and make the best of any situation and had a fun time at the beach, pool, local restaurants, and boardwalk.
Very disappointing!!! From the hassles of shoreline properties to the outdated unit, run away!!! They charged exorbitant fee for using a credit card and then never disclosed that you need to pay a resort fee and parking fees in cash upon arrival.
The unit itself is old, needs major updating! TVs from 1970s in bedrooms, lint catch in dryer falls out, beds are awful. Kids said floor was more comfortable than the bed on the last night. You will be lucky to get a warm shower for 15 minutes before it goes cold.
Golden sands itself was a nice resort just not this unit
