Highly Disappointed

Checked in on Saturday afternoon. Went to the rental office first thing Monday morning to express my concerns. Upon arriving an employee had fallen and had needed medical help and left by ambulance just a few minutes before we arrived. Spoke to two of the ladies at the front desk and was given a green card to fill out and return with our keys upon leaving Saturday morning. Today is now Wednesday and I have not heard from a single person at the rental office. I will never rent from Shoreline again. Very disappointed with how they handle customer service and how dirty our place was upon arriving. For the amount of money spent. The problems that we had should have been nonexistent. A follow up email or call with a apology would have been nice.

Sugar Ant all over the condo and inside bedroom dresser drawers

Hair ball, used tissues, sock, and trash behind double guest bedroom dresser

Kitchen utilizes were dirty

Hallway bathroom door sticks really bad

Fridge seal broken (hard to keep closed)

Outlet in master bedroom didn't work

Hair in shower in master bath upon arriving

Internet is slow (had to use our data the whole time we were there)

Not an ocean view condo

Twin closet had no space (used for storage)

Hot water gets very hot (will burn your skin)

Owner's Response: We apologize for the state of the condo and lack of communication. We are a family-owned business, so our managers were in and out that week taking care of their mother (who was the one who had fallen). When they got back, other issues came up and these concerns must've fallen by the wayside. Again, we apologize for that. When you check in, you are always welcome to call and request a reclean. We keep cleaners on staff just in case for this very reason, as well as maintenance (who can help with things like the showers and ants). Per the contract, things such as the state of cleanliness or damage need to be reported the day of check-in if you want us to address it, otherwise we assume you found the condo acceptable when you arrived. This property is not advertised as having an ocean view; it is listed as on the ocean block, not ocean front. The owner is responsible for providing WiFi and determining how much closet space to allow. We encourage them to provide the best, but ultimately it is up to them. We ask each tenant to wash and put away all dishes they used (including the coffee pot), but some tenants do not comply. Again, we apologize for the state of the condo and for not getting back to you sooner. A family emergency kind of through everything into upheaval, but we've since gotten back into the swing of things.
