The property is nestled among 130 acres of forest adjoining the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Craftsman style inside features hardwood flooring, tongue and groove vaulted ceiling, and luxurious granite and ceramic tiled bathroom.

Kitchenette has quartz counter top with full-size sink and refrigerator. Includes microwave, toaster oven, Kureg coffee maker. Flatware and dishes, water and wine glasses displayed on a wooden shelf over the sink.

Queen size bed adorned with down comforter and plush pillows. Ceiling fan over the bed and an electric fireplace to keep you cozy. Air conditioned in warm weather.

Flat screen cable TV with premium channels and a small library of movies and books.

Phone with free local and long distance calling and wifi.

About Patty Squires

This is such a beautiful area where my children and I did a lot of camping when they were small. One of my sons settled here after going to UNCA where he met his wife.

He found this property for me, and I bought it just from seeing the photos. There was a small house and two out buildings that he completely rebuilt, and since I love making a warm and welcoming home I decided to rent the 2 out buildings for weekend vacationers.

Patty Squires purchased this cabin in 2005

Why Patty Squires chose Asheville Area

The property is very unique with a large, natural pond and small mountain stream. A dock over the pond, deck surrounding the cabin, and fireside seats and benches provide quaint comfort to enjoy the views and bask in the beauty of the inspiring Blue Ridge Mountains. There is so much tranquility here and yet you are only minutes from downtown Asheville.

What makes this cabin unique

I knew I had made the right decision to retire here from the first time I stepped onto the property. It just felt like the home I had always dreamed of.

The location was perfectly convenient but far enough removed to afford quiet and relaxation.

The Lily Pad was incredibly sweet with thoughtful touches and clean amenities. It was the perfect alternative to a commercial hotel. We were always 7-10 minutes from any of the must-see sights.

Secluded and peaceful

  • 5 of 5

Wonderful stay at The Lily Pad cottage!! Perfect for a short getaway. Everything we could have needed was supplied, from ice cubes and coffee to shampoo and conditioner! My husband and I stayed for 4 days and 3 nights to enjoy Asheville and the fall foliage. Minutes from downtown and close to great hiking we couldn't have asked for better!! Thank you Patty!

Private Asheville retreat

  • 5 of 5

Weekend getaway in Asheville. Well maintained and comfortable with everything you need for a weekend away. Conveniently located to Biltmore, Downtown Asheville, Blue Ridge Parkway. You are 5 minutes off of the interstate but immersed into a private retreat with towering stands of bamboo and a small pond at your doorstep.

This was a perfect spot for my husband and me to spend 3 nights. It was very close to downtown, but secluded from everything. Very clean. Loved our visit

Amazing place to stay

  • 5 of 5

This place was super close to downtown Asheville, could be there in 10 minutes. Very quiet. Everything was very well thought out. Place looked brand new. Could not recommend it more. Perfect place to stay! Also had nice surrounding area for running and such.

Charming

  • 4 of 5

We really enjoyed our brief stay at the Liliy Pad! Patty was delightful and welcoming and the cabin so cute! It's charming on the outside and contemporary on the inside - the shower was awesome! It's a very short drive to Asheville - the road system was a bit confusing but once we figured it out all was good! A great system of hikes are up the Parkway and lots of fun music in town. We really enjoyed spending time on the decks playing our own music. Thanks Patty!
