This is such a beautiful area where my children and I did a lot of camping when they were small. One of my sons settled here after going to UNCA where he met his wife.
He found this property for me, and I bought it just from seeing the photos. There was a small house and two out buildings that he completely rebuilt, and since I love making a warm and welcoming home I decided to rent the 2 out buildings for weekend vacationers.
Patty Squires purchased this cabin in 2005
The property is very unique with a large, natural pond and small mountain stream. A dock over the pond, deck surrounding the cabin, and fireside seats and benches provide quaint comfort to enjoy the views and bask in the beauty of the inspiring Blue Ridge Mountains. There is so much tranquility here and yet you are only minutes from downtown Asheville.
I knew I had made the right decision to retire here from the first time I stepped onto the property. It just felt like the home I had always dreamed of.
The Lily Pad was incredibly sweet with thoughtful touches and clean amenities. It was the perfect alternative to a commercial hotel. We were always 7-10 minutes from any of the must-see sights.
Wonderful stay at The Lily Pad cottage!! Perfect for a short getaway. Everything we could have needed was supplied, from ice cubes and coffee to shampoo and conditioner! My husband and I stayed for 4 days and 3 nights to enjoy Asheville and the fall foliage. Minutes from downtown and close to great hiking we couldn't have asked for better!! Thank you Patty!
Weekend getaway in Asheville. Well maintained and comfortable with everything you need for a weekend away. Conveniently located to Biltmore, Downtown Asheville, Blue Ridge Parkway. You are 5 minutes off of the interstate but immersed into a private retreat with towering stands of bamboo and a small pond at your doorstep.
This was a perfect spot for my husband and me to spend 3 nights. It was very close to downtown, but secluded from everything. Very clean. Loved our visit
This place was super close to downtown Asheville, could be there in 10 minutes. Very quiet. Everything was very well thought out. Place looked brand new. Could not recommend it more. Perfect place to stay! Also had nice surrounding area for running and such.
We really enjoyed our brief stay at the Liliy Pad! Patty was delightful and welcoming and the cabin so cute! It's charming on the outside and contemporary on the inside - the shower was awesome! It's a very short drive to Asheville - the road system was a bit confusing but once we figured it out all was good! A great system of hikes are up the Parkway and lots of fun music in town. We really enjoyed spending time on the decks playing our own music. Thanks Patty!
Cabin is located about 8 mins from the Biltmore House, the largest single family home in the country and still owned by the Vanderbilt family. The Mountains to Sea Trail is 3 mins away, at the entrance to the Blue Ridge Parkway.
