About Patty Squires

This is such a beautiful area where my children and I did a lot of camping when they were small. One of my sons settled here after going to UNCA where he met his wife.

He found this property for me, and I bought it just from seeing the photos. There was a small house and two out buildings that he completely rebuilt, and since I love making a warm and welcoming home I decided to rent the 2 out buildings for weekend vacationers.

Patty Squires purchased this cabin in 2005

Why Patty Squires chose Asheville

The property is very unique with a large, natural pond and small mountain stream. A dock over the pond, deck surrounding the cabin, and fireside seats and benches provide quaint comfort to enjoy the views and bask in the beauty of the inspiring Blue Ridge Mountains. There is so much tranquility here and yet you are only minutes from downtown Asheville.

What makes this cabin unique

I knew I had made the right decision to retire here from the first time I stepped onto the property. It just felt like the home I had always dreamed of.

A Charming Intimate Bungalow

  • 5 of 5

My girlfriend and I stayed here for an anniversary getaway. The location was great with easy access to the Blue Ridge Parkway and downtown. The cottage was quaint and had everything we needed. The best part was enjoying morning coffee on the porch and watching the ducks swim in the pond.

Quiet, end of the road. Snug as a bug. Yet, close to everything Asheville.

This is a precious tiny house surrounded by nature and away from the hustle and bustle.

  • 5 of 5

The Lilly Pad is simply charming and quaint yet modern. The nature that surrounds it is beautiful and the inside of it is modern yet you still get a cabin feel. The added amenities were all so nice, down to the fresh flowers. This is a wonderful tiny getaway and I look forward to another stay. I would highly recommend this adorable cottage.

Great stay!

  • 5 of 5

The cabin was perfect for just the two of us! It was very nice inside and warm. Very close to everything such as the Biltmore House and downtown. The complimentary wine and snacks we're very thoughtful as well. Thank you for such great hospitality!

Absolutely perfect couples getaway

  • 5 of 5

I cannot rave enough about the property or owner. It is impeccably decorated and so comfy. And only about a 8min drive or uber to downtown. Seriously, we immediately told our friends and family and some of them will be booking soon! We are hoping to get another couple to come and rent the other cabin on the property for a double vacay! Can't imagine staying anywhere else in Asheville! Even our uber drivers said this was the best they had seen, so that's saying something. Thank you Patti!
