Convenient Location

  • 4 of 5

My sisters and I enjoyed our stay at this condo. It had a very nicely equipped kitchen and the view of Diamond Head was awesome! Beds were comfortable as was the sofa bed. The bathroom could use an update but it still was perfectly acceptable. There is a school right next door so in the off hours it looked like you could use the playground. The garage was easy to get around in - make sure you keep the "ticket" when you enter the garage, even though the parking is included with the apt. you still need the ticket to leave. The beach was about 2 blocks away, the zoo was a walkable distance, however there is paid parking there also. We walked to the International Marketplace - don't miss the free hula show every evening at either 6 or 7 depending on the season. It included history and you can get your picture taken with the dancers after the show. Parking around the Marketplace is hard to find for a decent price. Two restaurants that we walked to were Tiki's and Lulu's. At Tiki's they stamp your receipt to get a buy one get one drink on your next visit. Both eateries had good food and in the evening had entertainment during happy hour. Take the hike up to the top of Diamond Head, it is worth the time and then come back to the apt. and look out the window to the top and see where you were! Two other comments: skip Chinatown unless you know where to go or take a tour bus and the best price for macadamia nuts was Long's Drug. We would definitely would consider staying here again. Would have given it a 4 1/2 star rating.

The whole family had a great time! Rebecca was very helpful. The only thing is that maybe they can do without the other furniture so there can be more space. Overall, it was a nice experience.

Perfect location!!

  • 4 of 5

Even though the unit was a bit tired and floor was slanted where the dining table is, it was good enough for the vacation when you are outside for the most part. Kitchen was well equipped (happy to see the rice cooker!). We had a friend's wedding to attend to at Moana Surfrider, and this condo location was just perfect. Steps from the main street in Waikiki (Kalakaua Ave) and a nice beach area calm enough for my 2-year-old son for his first ocean experience! We also walked to Honolulu Zoo and the Luau at Diamond Head Beach Luau, and had a great time at both. I would have hoped that the water pressure of the shower was a little stronger but it was doable. Overall we were very happy with the unit. I would have given 4.5 but it wasn't an option :)

An Ideal Honolulu Vacation Spot

  • 5 of 5

We rented this condo in Honolulu for eleven nights and it was an ideal property for us. It's not overly huge or particularly fancy but as two adult couples, we settled in quickly and had lots of space for meals and relaxing. It is in a mixed building of condos and hotel rooms and being a corner unit at the end of the hall corridor was very quiet and private. The location can't be beat. It's a short few minute walk to the beach, yet set away from the hustle and bustle of the main drag area. Restaurants, shops and grocery facilities are all close by. We rented a car twice at a nearby hotel and toured Oahu. The North Shore is not to be missed. The unit itself is well stocked with utensils and any cookware needed to prepare meals or even bake if you were so inclined. The view of Diamond Head is as advertised. Morning coffee on the lanai overlooking Diamond Head is really quite spectacular. Rebecca was extremely helpful. She dropped by the unit to personally replace a faulty snorkel mask and arranged for us to extend our stay when we decided to stay in Honolulu a bit longer than originally intended. She is a delightful person. We consider this property great value for the money and would definitely stay here again on any future trips we might make to Honolulu.

scenic retreat

Loved the view of Dimond Head from the living room. Apartment was well supplied and very comfortable. The parking garage is very easy to access. Free WiFi. Close walking distance from the Zoo and beaches.

We will definitely stay here again.

Condo Living in Waikiki

  • 3 of 5

The condo was well equipped, clean, and well maintained. The two beds were very comfortable. The view of diamond head, both at sunrise and sunset was incredible, as advertised. Its location is excellent for access to the beach in Waikiki, Kapiolani Park, and many of the tourist activities -- shows, shopping, dining, etc. are within walking distance. Unfortunately, the one neighbor (new to the condo/hotel) had a yapping dog that was prone to late evening barking sessions. The bathroom was not handicap friendly. My 90-year old Mother-in-Law found it very difficult to use the small tub/shower which had no bars for ease of access. For a small family or middle-aged couple, this rental is worth the price.

Car: not necessary

Pool and Recreation deck is on the 6th Floor, and a convenience store on the 5th floor Hanauma Bay is a must for those who like to snorkel. Take bus 23 across the street. Safeway is bus 13 or 2, a couple of miles out of town. On the Waikiki Sunset side of the street on Kuhio are busses that go to Chinatown is also bus 13 or 2. Farmers market, Tues and Fri. mornings is one block over on OHUA Ave at the Community Center. Drive up and look over the Pali Lookout for an incredible view. Polynesian Cultural Center is outstanding. It takes all day. Most of all, Have lots of fun.
