Location is great, property not so good
The location on Paradox Lake is great but the property needs some care. Everything is fairly worn and areas like the outside deck could not be used as it was not clean. The shower in the bathroom is tiny and you can't stand up in any of the bedrooms which are very warm even when weather outside is cool because they are in the attic and lack proper ventilation.
Hi Susanna, thank you for your review. There are 2 AC's in the upstairs bedrooms to cool down. There is also a switch along the wall walking upstairs that ventilates some of the hot air in the bedrooms. Yes, the shower is on the small side. The bedrooms are on the smaller side as well, can't really do anything about that. I will also discuss with my housecleaner about the outside deck being dirty.
We had a wonderful time. Hope to rent next summer
Beautiful, Serene, Relaxing
We stayed here for a few days and had an exceptionally good time. The lake access with kayaks & swimming and porch overlooking the water were perfect. My mother has recently had issues with her knees, so the stairs to from the street level down to the house and then from the house to the lake were a little too much for her. That is something to consider if mobility is an issue, but certainly not a show stopper!
Thank you Tiffani for your review. I'll make sure to add the additional steps to my listing for future renters.
The place was great!
I haven’t been this relaxed in years!
The six of us had a wonderful time kayaking, swimming and fishing. I even got to finish a book I’d been reading forever! If you are looking for excitement, this probably isn’t the vacation for you, but if peaceful relaxation, hiking and reconnecting with family and friends in a beautiful, lakefront setting sounds good to you, I would highly recommend making Paradox Lake your destination! This property had a very well appointed kitchen and comfortable living spaces with a screened porch. The breeze off the lake was lovely and bug free.
Peaceful setting, nice place to relax
Rustic setting a lot of stairs to get into house from road and down to the water. Other then that it’s nice.
