This warm and inviting home is 1 mile - a beautiful walk - to the quaint and growing hamlet of Callicoon, NY. The home sleeps 8 adults in 4 double beds and 4 children in bunk beds. We do not rent to groups where there is no adult over the age of 25. There is an additional fee for each person over the capacity of 12; or for each adult that exceeds the maximum of 8. Two full baths and a well-equipped and stocked kitchen make the living easy. The backyard is spacious and flat enough for volleyball, badmitten, croquette and more. A covered patio attached to the garage has a gas grill and charcoal grill for cooking out. The back deck has plenty of seating to sit and relax or for eating outside. There is a large firepit, right by the river with additional seating. If you like to flyfish... just step right into the river and float your line.
Our Summer season booked up quickly this year, so please book in advance. We can break the payment into increments. We look forward to hosting you again in 2017!

There are several unique and trendy clothing stores where you are sure to find a one-of-a-kind piece - or a gift for a friend. There are good restaurants - everyone loves Ba and Me - a Vietnamese shop that serves out a small window. Like being overseas! The bars have a welcoming atmosphere and live music. There is also the local movie theatre - quaint and comfortable - with an outstanding candy selection. And up around the corner a little bowling alley that has unbelievable food and a bar. Feeling outdoorsy? Rent a bicycle, a kayak, canoe or a raft! Really outdoorsy? Try Ridgeback Sports new stand-up paddle boards. You can come down the mighty Delaware and step right out of the water into the back yard of River Rock House where a drink and a barbecue can await you.
In many ways - with just a 2 hour travel time - this little hamlet is a secret hideaway for NYC people who just want to get away from it all and have fun - indoors and out.
In the Summer there is the Callicoon Country Fair - a carnival and fair all rolled into one. Expect live performances, local artisans, contests and more.
Bethel Woods - the site of the famous Woodstock is 20 minutes away with topline performers - especially in the Summer.
Like to fish? The environs are famous for fly fishing. You could wake up in the morning, have your cup of coffee and wade right out into the river from the backyard and catch a rainbow trout. We can also arrange private fly fishing excursions with locals who know where the fish like to hide. Horseback riding is plentiful from beginners to advanced riders.

Enjoyed our Stay for New Year celebration. Love the house, cozy and welcoming!!! Beautiful view on the river from the dinning area. Nice fire pit area next to the river!! Would love to come back during the summer!! Maureen and George, thank you so much for your lovely house!!!
My family had an awesome Thanksgiving celebration at Camp River Rock! The house was perfect, the owners were super accommodating, and we made new memories. We cannot wait to return for a summer experience and bring our Kayaks!
This property is perfect for weekend getaway or any length of time really. The location is fabulous the house is clean and well-appointed, the owners are very accommodating and I love the area. What more could you ask for, I could not recommend the property highly enough.
The house is lovely and comfortable. The Kitchen/dining room area is good size - way more than enough for 6 of us. The bed we slept on was comfortable. A great place to stay.
The back yard ends on the Delaware river and that was a treat for my grandsons - we skipped stones, built stone towers in the middle of the river, walked to islands in the middle of the river. I started to cross all the way but decided against it because the current is strong.
There is plenty to do in the area. We went to the Farmer's Market Sunday morning and it was spectacular - veggies, cookies, and amazingly good meat. We got hamburger and sausage and grilled, made s'mores took a canoe trip a little ways down the river.
The house was clean and ready when we got there. Highly recommended.
We've rented several holiday houses in the past but none have been so thoughtfully presented as this. Clean comfy beds, towels, toys, books and games for the kids and all the basics you'd need in the kitchen, all we had to do was enjoy the river.
We had 5 kids aged 6 and under. They LOVED the lawn running down to the river and the screened porch full of toys. They played while the adults relaxed. We drank coffee watching the mist rise off the river in the morning from the back deck and cooled off in the river when it got hot. We enjoyed walking into Callicoon for the farmers market or a drink at Matthew's.
Highly recommended, particularly for families. We will be back unless we find our own place on the river first!
What an awesome experience. The house is immaculate. My kids were in love with the kiddie cove. Everything was so clean from the multitude of towels to the cozy comfy bedsheets, from the bathrooms, right down to the fully stocked kitchen. The bed rooms felt like being in a rustic log cabin in the woods. Maureen provided everything we needed and more. She was very friendly and such a pleasure to deal with. My family was extremely happy with the house and the overall experience. The deck and backyard was just as amazing as inside. The adirondack chairs around the fire ring was the perfect end to a great day. We had a wonderful time and created great memories that will last forever. We will definitely come back for a longer stay.
